JJ in London (1 Viewer)

I did order the Figarti version of the Stuka, but these versions by JJD look tremendous!! Great detail!! The winter version looks especially good, but both are big winners. The Russian plance looks very promising too. I am addicted to planes, and I fully understand what Wayne means about space concerns. Thanks for the enticing photos!

This one resembles the JU-87B-2 2/St. G2 "Immelman". Russian Front circa Sept. 1941.

The winter version appears to be JU-87 B-2, Stab II/St. G1 - Russian Front Dec. '41.

Al,
I had to Google Nomonhon. Not heard of it before and interesting unknown event (to me anyway).
Cheers
Brett
Hi Brett. Nomonhon (Khalkhin Gol) is an incredibly interesting 'incident'. There are several written accounts but the best is Alvin Coox's "Nomonhon: Japan against Russia, 1939". It is available in softcover, but is somewhat pricey. The Japanese learned not to fool with Mother Russia. :wink2: -- Al

I'm afraid I didn't have a camera with me, but I'm sure others will post pictures of these:

1. A new range was on display.....The Peninsular war...Spanish guerillas and Portugese Infantry...They really looked superb.
2. Stukas...as well as the two German planes...an Italian one as well
3. Painted SE5a, painted accompanying pilot, painted pilot for the Albatros as well.

Portuguese infantry from the Peninsular War?{eek3}...Got to take a look at this. I had no idea such a range would be coming up, got to check JJ's website.
Thank you so much for the news!

Check them out.

That is OUTSTANDING news; at firs glance I thought the unpainted guerillas were for the Spanish Civil War, but this is great to hear............kudos to John for launching this range, SO many possibilities for this range........

I haven't seen any pictures of the Italian Stuka. The SE5 looks fantastic.

I am embarassed to say that at first glance I thought they might be Jean Lafitte's pirates from the Battle of New Orleans! The Peninsular War of the Napoleonic era is a favorite of mine and I hope John will add French troops along with the Spanish and Portuguese.
John must be a very busy man with all these great new products and releases!

The Peninsular war Spanish guerillas and Portuguese Infantry look fantastic.^&cool Best sculps I've seen from JJ IMO.
I had a chat with John and he said the first couple of sets would be out in May. He said that at a later date he may produce some French infantry in poses to suggest ambush. The Spanish guerillas did like to pick of French stragglers.
He also said that he likes the idea of presenting British troops in realistic battle worn uniforms for this conflict. So all you Naps fans out there get behind this one because this looks like it could be one of JJ's best series yet with plenty of scope and battles to portray.
Paul

Both versions as I thought look superb and, glad I did not buy a figarti version as these from the pics shown look much much better IMO
Mitch

I respectfully disagree as I think both the Figarti & JJ versions are equally excellent-simply different versions that do not have to be ranked against one another.

Horrido,
Marc

Paul,
Thanks for the information; British troops in realistic battle worn uniforms sounds like music to my ears, hoping he does the same for the French and I'm with you; as terrific as the F & I War has been from JJD, THIS could be one of his best series yet for sure........wonderful news.
