JJDesigns News Update March 7th, 2022 - Jacobite Rebellion (1 Viewer)

I'm very happy to see further additions to this range. I'm new at collecting and starting to purchase miniatures for the period.

Just a question for the members who follow the Jacobite Rebellion range: Was there a musician for the Royal Ecossais?

Thank you.

GH
Gday GH, no musician for the Royal E’s..... yet!

My humble start. Robin.

Good question.
No musicians that I recall, and the lack of responses leads me to believe that I may be correct. People on this forum are always helpful if the are knowledgeable.

Welcome to the Forum!
Enjoy it. I'm not even on FB so I love the pics.

My humble start. Robin.

Was going to show my Bonnie Bonnie Prince (no jokes from the kids, now!) but yours is in a better pics. Congrats. He is a lovely figure, as all JJD's ranges, particularly this one, consistently produce

Hopefully the cover shot and article on 'The 45' aka 'Climatic Clash at Culloden' in Toy Soldier Collector magazine stimulated the juices to pick up some of those older JJD releases. I got multiples of the red coats and all the early Scottish figures but ran out of steam towards the end. My Culloden currently has around 70 figures but a few more would be great. Never picked up the British cavalry so that would be a welcome addition together with Scottish and British artillery.

Have my magazine on pre-order. Just starting out on the collection myself and agree with seeing artillery, additionally, would love to see the Irish Picquets too. Lieutenant Colonel Stapleton wounded in a vignette would be nice to see as well.

Looking forward to seeing the Bagot Hussars.

Cheers,
GH

Thank you Pat Sr & Paddy for the welcome. I've just noticed your further response to my query. I thank you and if I could further ask if they had both drummers and pipers as musicians for this regiment?

I look forward to further conversations on this forum with like minded collectors on the Jacobite Rebellion collection by JJD.

Kind Regards,
GH

Thank you!
I can't recall any Eccosais musicians. I just remember that the Highlanders never had a drummer, which may be appropriate.
Best Wishes & Happy Hunting!
Paddy
