Joe Ekin passes away (1 Viewer)

I also thank you for the article Rob, another brave vet passes. R.I.P
Wayne.

You're welcome guys, although it was not for a long time after the War until he found out what he'd done, at least he got the recognition later in life he richly deserved . I understand he was a very modest man and very popular at Bovington Tank museum.

Great article and remembrance Rob. It's ironic that his opponent is better known, at least in the TS world, than Mr. Ekin.

Yes indeed Brad, also the fact that his opponent was one of the most prolific Nazi Tank commanders with a huge kill rate, taken out by a novice in comparison. Mind you that 17pdr was some gun wasn't it^&cool{bravo}}

Rob

shame. Though I had the good fortune to meet him and, get his signature a few years back. RIP
Mitch
