Stan Clark of Antique Center of Gettysburg has located a BM-06 for 145$ + postage. If interested call him today or in the morning. His telephone number can be found on JJ WEB site vendor page.

Pierre has been kind enough to offer one for sale to me already, but I am interested in some more of the earlier FM and BM sets if anyone has a line on any of them. I know another forum member recently found some FM sets at the Gettysburg center. I'm also looking for FM01-04 and BM02-04 eventually.

I was in the Antique Center today. In addition to BM-06, they still have FM-01, 03 and 04 and BM-04. Also some QR-01's to the extent anyone is interested. Not sure how many of each, but there you have it.:)

Oh, that is good news. Thanks for the tip. I am going to call Stan tomorrow and see what I can arrange. Thanks again.

Dave

Well, I just called Clark's re: FM01, 03, 04 and he acted like I was crazy. He was a bit of a jerk actually. "Look, friend, I've been out of those for a long time...I could probably get them for you at a much higher price than retail...don't know why somebody would tell you I have those in stock right now", and so on. I won't call there again, not very professional. :(:confused:

Dave-
Are you sure that you are calling the right place or person? I was in the Antique Center yesterday and they have the sets. They carry a ton of John Jenkins. That's really strange. The only explanation that I have is that Stan leases space from the AC and may be confused with BM-01-03 which are sold out. You might call them directly - see my PM. Best of luck.

Sound like you are on to something. The mail address I used was the one from JJ WEB site. Stan told me he had no retired items and later mailed me back that he could get a BM-006 for 145$.

Sounds like Stan and the AC center are 2 different sources. Confusing!

The Antique Center carries all sorts of things as you might imagine including toy soldiers. I believe they consign space out to various dealers and Stan is the JJ and KC dealer. He is probably not actually at the AC when you call - so I would call the AC directly at (717) 337-3669. On the prices, I recall the FM-01 was something like $90 and FM-03 and 04 $69 (just my recollection). Don't recall what they are asking for BM-06 that is on display. QR-01 is $92.

Just to confirm, I went back to the Antique Center on this snowy day and they do have FM-01, FM-03, FM-04 and BM-06 ($125) sets available for anyone still looking.

AC recently sold me FM-01 at its original price of $69. I was stunned and thrilled that they would sell a retired and much sought after set for such a reasonable price. Thanks again for leading me in their direction.

Randy

I may try calling that other number for the AC. I'd like to get at least 1 of those early FM sets. I like the looks of FM02 and FM04 best. Thanks for the updates.

Hey, thanks for the tip on calling the Gettysburg Antiques Center directly. It paid off as I got FM04 coming in the mail. Price had gone up a bit, but still reasonable I thought. I'm slowly closing in on all of the old JJD stuff I want to get, and now just looking for FM02 if anybody's got an extra they'd consider parting with. :)

Mister Dave,

If you drop Stan Clark an email scmb@earthlink.net I know he had a FM-02 for $125 12 hours ago.
