John Jenkins Designs 2010 Calendars (1 Viewer)

I received my calendar yesterday. Thanks to Treefrog and Randy for such impressive work. I was able to get one and it will be part of my Snowshoe collection. Top quality photos and a collector quality. Thanks John

MIKE..DOUG..RANDY...Great idea of a catalog of JOHN,s releases like you say after a while of collecting most of his releases and his future releases it sure would be a great help. Good luck guys.

Treefrog is listening boys...we'll see what we can do ;).

As for the calendars...they were in shorter supply this year than last year. Dealers were alloted one for each collector club membership they managed. So if you are a collector club member your dealer probably has one earmarked for you.

Shannon...if you're saying you might consider doing some kind of compilation of John's work...I would love that...

If it's going to be a "hard copy" annual format...that would be nice...

John produces a lot of pieces...so maybe an INTERNET version would be the easiest idea...something that could be changed and updated monthly...

I have a really hard time finding information on what's been retired...

having to view several dealers to find the piece I am interested in...

information like...

what is being retired...

the limited edition number...

pictures...

original msrp...

a lot of sites remove the piece from their listings once it becomes "retired" or is "out of stock"...

it would be a lot of work to keep it updated because of the amount of work John puts out...

I wish somebody would do something on it...

including his early work like the Frontline FIW...his QR series...

a lot of his work is put out in such small editions that once sold...the listings disappear.

Thank you PJ. This is the project I was supposed to meet with John on in Boston and to pick up the Langy figure I needed for the May shot. Matt Murphy kindly mailed it to me since I was unable to come down.

Is the Langy figure available or a future release? I never seen that figure.

No...he's not released yet...but he looks spectacular and will probably make his debut soon...I really thought he would make this months schedule...Michael

If you look at the Feb 2010 calendar page there is an as yet unreleased officer that John made up for me to use as Durantaye. He may be part of a future BOS set of 2. He is dressed like Langy who appears in the May page. I am hoping there will also be a new pair of Rogers Rangers officers which were on John's to do list as well as a French supply sled. If you want these in future BOS sets give John a shout. Maybe they will show up in the Club releases/

When John saw my photo it made him laugh because it looked like Durantaye was hamming it up and waving at the camera :D

Here is a detail of Durantaye from the calendar page:
