The greatest college basketball coach passed away today. I can remember those UCLA teams of the 70's. Unbeatable. Some amazing numbers those guys put up. Kareem, Walton etc.

Doug, I agree, Unbelievable coach, he was truly a wizard both on and off the court. Very sorry to hear, I being too young to have remembered his teams live, have lived off seeing them on replay on classics as well as reading a lot about the man, again, truly a wizard.

I went to USC and have been a huge USC fan all of my life since childhood. We've suffered countless defeats in basketball over the years to his UCLA lead teams.

However the world loss a great Team leader and builder of men yesterday; good bye Mr. Wooden you were the greatest! My your teachings and values live forever in the people you've touched.

I remember his teams and the fun I had watching them. Watching Alcindor, Warren, and Shackleford was a pleasure. The Wizard of Westwood will be missed, but remembered. -- Al

I am just glad that Coach Wooden lived to be 99 years old so I could enjoy hearing his interviews when I was old enough to appreciate what a great man and terrific coach he was. He won 10 championships in 12 years, a feat that will never be equalled. The next most championships by an NCAA Basketball Coach is 4. I only wish he could have lived to be 199.

I read somewhere the Bruins's under Wooden won something like 37 straight NCAA tournament games over several years!
