Here is a photo taken at a medical station in Fommerville (Lorraine) France showing John's latest ambulance surrounded by French soldiers. Some of these soldiers (including the medic by the doorway) would be a nice group to use with John's vehicle. The dogs would be a nice touch as well.

Always love seeing war time photo's with the opportunity to replicate them in miniatures.^&cool, Robin.
 
Great photo PB. - Nicely illustrates how small these vehicles really were.
There was some questioning of scale when the JJD Model T ambulances first came out - but it looks like John J. got it right. :)
 
The ambulance is very well done. My only issue with it is I can't imagine there is room to get a figure behind the wheel
 
Here's another period photo of the Ford Ambulance taken by my grandfather while in France . . . . These vehicles were small . . . .
