Hello all, just want to wish all of my fellow collectors and friends a happy 4th of July and a safe one as well.....sammy

Happy 4th of July everybody! I was getting into my car this evening when some kids were setting off firecrackers. I overheard a couple telling their kids what "bad boys" these kids were and how dangerous firecrackers are. I know they are probably right, but when I was a kid, we used to have fireworks wars every July. We would make bottle rocket launchers so we could aim and shoot at each other, we would shoot each other with Roman Candles, and we would through packs of firecrackers at each other. Maybe we were just lucky, but none of us ever got hurt. I really wish kids could still have fun without being told how dangerous everything is.

Insurance companies and lawsuit crazy lazy you know whats. I used to love the 4th. Firecrackers were always illegal where I grew up but we had a lot of them. Some things were easier no doubt. I wish sometimes that one knew whom to be loyal to. You could count on keeping your job.

Actually to be precise, PLAINTIFFS LAWYERS There are many of us that have nothing whatsoever to do with trying to idiot proof the universe. I, for example, find it absurd that most manuals for anything these days devote more that 70 percent of their content to bold face warnings about things like not putting your fingers in a door before closing it. Yes, let's here it for the simplier times.

Fireworks are legal here in Hawaii on the 4th of July and on New Years so we get to celebrate with them. When I was a kid growing up in Mass. we always had fireworks even though they were illegal. Just a short drive across the NH border.
