The Ottoman Empire is renowned for two iconic battle standards: the Horsehair Banner (Tuğ) and the Sacred Banner of Islam (Sancak-ı Şerif). The Horsehair Banner symbolized the supreme authority of Ottoman commanders. Together these standards bore witness to both the empire's zenith of power and its eventual decline. During the 1683 Siege of Vienna, Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa Pasha brought both banners to the battlefield. However, his forces were decisively defeated by the legendary charge of Polish Winged Hussars. This disastrous defeat forced him to abandon the sacred Horsehair Banner on the battlefield, escaping only with the Islamic holy standard in retreat.

Great looking figures. Glad to see you are using alternative paint schemes for the figures. In non-uniformed armies, this really helps to flesh out a force.

Looks great what about Deli?
Hello!

Thank you for your suggestion. Regarding the "Deli Cavalry" you previously mentioned, we conducted research but found limited relevant literature. Additionally, no related documentation was identified concerning the 1683 Battle of Vienna. We require more detailed visual references to produce works that truly meet the expectations of collectors. However, our development direction must ultimately align with the company's comprehensive circumstances. We sincerely hope this approach merits your understanding.

Best regards,
T.M. Jack

Hi Jack, thank you very much for the reply and the excellent work. Dir deli cavalry is next to the Sipahi, Akinci a very important part of the Ottoman army. In recent years they have become incredibly popular because they have been named in many books, movies and series. In the ancient Ottoman miniature drawings they appear again and again. There are specific drawings from the harbsburgers. Both (Polish Hussars and Ottoman Deli) wore winged or eye-catching back decorations.IMG_5210.jpeg

Hello!

Thank you for the information you provided. We need to decide whether to continue developing the Deli cavalry or revisit it later based on the current popularity of the existing Ottoman cavalry among the broader community of collectors.

Best wishes,
T.M. Jack

Hello, thank you very much, whether at this time or at a later date, I would be happy to support you in your research. I have a lot of ideas for the cavalry and infantry :)
