Welcome to the latest Jump The Gunn Newsletter, June 2026 figures are now here for all to see, these should be available next week for dispatch.

As always we start off in historical order, so let's start off with the new Waterloo infantry officer from 1815.....

The 28th of Foot North Gloucestershire Regt

Raised in 1694, the 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot was a line regiment of the British Army. Being in the front line from the late 1600s through to the late 1800s, when it was then amalgamated with the 61st (South Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot to form the Gloucestershire Regiment. The Regiment was the subject of a famous painting by Lady Butler, as they fought off the French cavalry at Waterloo.
Our latest addition is below:

NAP70 Officer with Regimental Colours
Priced at $65/£60 whilst stocks last.
Next month sees the release of a new standing firing rifleman and a brand new dead casualty figure for the 28th of Foot. A new kneeling Repel is also due out in the next couple of months. French cavalry are already in the design process and will be available later this year.

The Zulu War 1879

SFA69. The Fighting Cook, sometimes known as the Butcher of Rorkes Drift!

Company Cook turned defender, but he is certainly not befitting the ‘Thin’ red line title of our typical Redcoat.
Our latest Zulu War release is a big lad, but then again, never trust a thin cook, so the saying goes!
In the excellent film, Zulu, the Cook, named Bryce, doused the camp fires with the ingredients from his cooking pots and was later killed with an assegai spear in the back, while distributing ammunition. Our version of Bryce shows him giving the Zulus as good as he gets.

Priced at $65/£60 whilst stocks last.

The Zulus

SFA065 Stopped in his Tracks!
A Zulu warrior stumbles as he takes a hit from one of our British defenders, no quarter was asked for or given in 1879! Will look equally as good in a dio taking a fatal stab from our Butcher of Rorkes drift as he hands out short sharp shrift with his knife and cleaver.
Priced at $52/£48 each.

The Gurkhas 1879

The Gurkhas are a British army Regiment that have given service to the British Crown for over 200 years. They are armed with a Kukri, this is a type of knife or short sword with a distinct recurve in its blade that originated in the Indian subcontinent. The kukri is the national weapon of Nepal, traditionally serving the role of a basic utility knife for the Gurkhas, and consequently is a characteristic weapon of the Nepali Army. The handles are most often made of hardwood or water buffalo horn, but ivory, bone, and metal handles have also been produced. The handle quite often has a flared butt that allows better retention in draw cuts and chopping. Most handles have metal bolsters and butt plates which are generally made of brass or steel.
The kukri is in standard service with various regiments and units within the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, the Kumaon Regiment, the Garhwal Rifles and the various Gorkha regiments. Outside of its native region of South Asia, the kukri also is in service with the Brigade of Gurkhas in the British Army and Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force.
There are many myths surrounding the kukri since its earliest recorded use in the 7th century—most notably a traditional custom that the blade must draw blood before being sheathed, when its sole purpose is considered as a fighting weapon. In addition to its use in combat, the kukri is also used for a variety of other purposes. It is used by farmers and labourers for cutting crops and clearing brush, and by hunters for skinning and cleaning game. It is also used as a tool for cooking, woodworking, and even as a ceremonial object in some Nepalese religious traditions.
Our first Gurkhas are dressed in green as they would have appeared in the 1879 campaign in Afghanistan.

VW17. Gurkha - Reload
VW18. Gurkha - Holding the severed head of the enemy
VW19. Gurkha - Standing Firing Rifle
VW20. Gurkha - Kneeling Firing Rifle
More Gurkhas to follow including a Piper, and an officer command group.

A big thank you to Marco Fantozzi from Italy who gave the TG team much needed guidance and support with these figures. Also the guys at the Armoury of St James, George and Toby, who were invaluable in their ideas and critiquing of the designs.
In the next 2 months there will be 5 x charging Gurkha's and some Afghans unwisely trying to take them on.
All Gurkhas are priced at $52/£48 each,

The Foreign Legion

ACCPACK 085A
Our latest release includes the 65mm mountain gun officially known as the Canon de 65 M modele. It was used in France's overseas territories to supress any dissent and then saw service during WW1.
The carriage of the gun could be broken down into four mule loads for transport. By 1939, the weapon was generally used as an infantry support gun. After the fall of France in 1940, the Germans used the guns as the 6,5 cm GebK 221(f), it was used by German mountain troops in the same role as it's French counterparts had done.
The gun was used by Israel in the 1948 conflict and also by Albania, Poland and Greece.
Our mountain gun comes with 4 x Legionnaires, 2 x ammunition boxes, spare shells and is priced at $289/£265 whilst stocks last.
