HI GUYS..HERE IS MY SMALL TRIBUTE TO THE HEROES OF D.DAY. MADE THIS DIO A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, CHANGED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES, NOW I AM REASONABALY PLEASED WITH THE RESULT..THE SAND IS REALLY FROM OMAHA BEACH!!. IF YOU STAND ON THE BEACH AT LOW WATER ON WHAT WAS DOG GREEN SECTOR, AND SEE WHAT A DISTANCE THOSE GUYS HAD TO COVER..LOADED DOWN WITH GEAR..COLD..WET..FRIGHTENED..A WALL OF BULLETS, SHELLS, MORTARS..AND THEY STILL GOT THE JOB DONE!! AS ONE
80 YEAR OLD VET SAID "WE DID THE WALK BABY".

HOPE YOU ENJOY.....STEVE. (DUTCH KC CLUB)

Steve,

I have been known to partake at that establishment on the odd occasion, purely for historical reasons you understand!:D One of the few constants in the City. Most others have changed hands / names 2 dozen times since.

Cheers

hi rob...must admit i was more than a little influenced by the scene with the bunker in saving private ryan!!!, and even though no such bunker existed
in the dog green sector i just had to try and build it!!!!!!!!!!.

Thanks for your response. Steve.
