Jungle Ambush (1 Viewer)

That hut changed hands quickly !!!
I am waiting for some more Aussie patrol figures to start my jungle dio
guy:)

Great little scene Jack, God bless Airfix is all I will say!
We will be bringing out our own smaller jungle hut early next year and some other scenery bits n' bobs for all collectors of this and any other Far East jungle campaigns, that may be available elsewhere!
Best wishes Vicki

Great diorama! It's nice to see that the Pacific Threatre is getting some attention too. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Brendan

Dear Vicki

Thanks very much for dropping by! Yes... Airfix ... they got so many of us into this hobby but some of their stuff is like a poorly written mystery ... all the pieces might be there but they don't fit together all that well!

I only grabbed the tank on a whim because it was a nice looking piece at a good price. I am glad I did now.

The foliage is the problem for the jungle scenes. That is the big challenge which I will need to have a good think about. But you have erred in your placement of the campaigns ... as Australians needed to remind themselves in 1942, the campaigns were not fought in the Far East ... they most definitely were fought in the Near North!

Jack

I know what you mean Jack, I commissioned my model maker to produce a jungle layout especially for these TG figures, hopefully it will be ready soon. Looking forward to adding the hut mentioned. Robin.

Great stuff! I am resisting the Pacific but it is not easy when I see dios like this.

Totally refreshing scene and subject.
Proof that the makers have been missing out on a terrific subject.

I like the old airfix jungle hut too and maybe if you use Lucerne chaff and white glued it to the building it could give a better finish . Chris.{sm4}

Looks like the bottom of my fish tank (Minus figures) great display mate awesome figures.

I have received mine in the post and was very pleased about how much detail there was on this model and if used better it should come up a dream . Chris.:salute::
