In an ealier thread I explained how to make the rocks for a jungle scene . I finished my dio today and took some pictures . It took me a lot of time and sweat to make a decent jungle scene . I spend a awefull time on making the jungle in which the TGM figures would be placed . The river was also a small nightmare . I had to plan way ahead what to do and in what order to avoid problems when building up the dio. Here is the result . Hope you like it

Hello Guy,

Excellent jungle patrol display. It looks very real i.e. hot, humid and harsh.

I was waiting in keen anticipation to see the finished display and it is exceptional.

You have the correct of amount of foliage so as not to obscure the figures.

Thanks very much, Raymond.

I really like this diorama. The photo of the close-up of the soldier with the radio reminds me of a movie poster.

Intense jungle Guy, it's going to be hard to locate the figures.^&grin, Robin.

I understand that it must be a little nightmare doing the jungle, but the result is really WONDERFUL!!( I also remember some nightmares with some dios I did..).Also, the jungle and the rocks give the impression that the dio is much bigger than it is in reality.

Bigger picture, thus more detail ! ( note the mountain river under the bridge)

Great bridge, the water effect is excellent, but that mule will never go across. Robin.

Guy,

this diorama is great, you can almost smell the rotting vegetation and feel the humidity of the tropical jungle.

Well Done,

John

Brilliant Guy, you have achieved total realism.

Tom

Terrific scene Guy. There is a lot of detail and work in this one. Thanks for sharing all the photos and different angles of the scene.

Here are some pictures from the same dio taken with natural light and from different angles. It shows that a dio does not always need to be big (dimensions) . Mine is only 28cmx22cm

The natural light makes it look even more realistic Guy and I agree about the size but then image what it would look like if it was say around a meter x meter in size!

Tom

Guy,

The display looks equally good with natural light, the most obvious advantage being that the figures and foliage detail are more clearly appreciated. I thought you achieved the optimal lighting in the initial set of photographs to convey a very realistic tropical jungle visual effect. Thanks very much for sharing your hard work in putting this diorama together.

Raymond.

Guy,

Jungle dio's are my favorite. Yours epitomizes what I want to do in Jungle dio's.

Thanks for the many many " Likes" fellows. I already started working on my next dio "On the road again"
