Being the great adventuring traveller that I am, I can confirm the existance of that other far away land, Bournville, but there's way too much history stuff that gets in the way of stuffing your face full of chocolate.
Which brings us to the eigth Wonder of the World - K&C UK.
Security, thinly disguised as decorative militaria, is tight. The grenade Tony mentioned was strung across the stock room door and the MG42 had what appeared to be an automatic motion sensor attached to it. I was informed that it was the sighting system, but I'm not so sure.... The security dog was left free to roam around the building.
The stock rooms (for there were rooms a plenty) were stacked floor to ceiling with virgin boxes of K&C's finest. The display room had a vast collection of new and retired K&C pieces, including many that I wanted to get my grubby little paws on. Some of Tony's dios were on display there also.
The new FJ area killed me (or rather killed my credit card) - go on, you know you want to, it'll be a couple of months before you can buy the Arnhem range.
The dispatch area had Dave working frantically, in between mouthful's of home made pastie, and the volume that was awaiting shipping was phenominal. There were a few packages amongst them for forum members, which I was tempted to 'doctor' but thought better of for fear of getting lynched.
Then there was Tony's play area, set up for photography / dio construction - very informative.
The last room of the current building had photographs of all K&C projected releases for the next 12 months.
I might have been fibbing about the last bit.
The new additional premises next door to the current building will make for a very chilled (and no doubt expensive) shopping experience.
You need to get up there mate. With a freshly charged credit card.
