And its superb!.Its my first Figarti purchase and i am thrilled with it.The quality of both the V1 itself and the figures that come with it is excellant. The shaping, weight and paint work on the V1 is quality all through. The machinery the men are using is also very good and to top it off the ramp looks cool.I had a feeling this was going to be good but it has exceeded my expectations, going to have to get the other one now!.Thanks Rick and all at Figarti.Keep up the good work!

PS Even the boxes are smart and tough. This is one happy customer!

I noticed that all of their latest products have improved so much in quality. Figarti's vehicles and other structures which they make are awesome looking. I have the British Stuart which is made very well and the Jap tank which is simple but made very well also. The tracks are loose and not molded on their tanks. I have a few newer Africa Corps soldiers which are nothing like their older troops. They are great looking.

I wouldn't mind getting the V1 someday.

I noticed that you are from the UK. Do you plan on sending the V1 back to Germany for some more revenge? LOL.

Check out their newer and older vehicles. The detail and craftsmanship is superb........Nick:D
Here are a couple of pics of their newer German figures.

Nice pics, their quality has really improved a lot.I had to pay UK customs £30 to let the V1 into Britain, so its staying grounded;)

I guess they mean businees and are going to compete with the big boys....

I enjoy taking photos of what I have when I have the time. They go hand and hand with my scratch made buildings.....Nick

Enjoy your V1..... It is a beauty.

I have to second your opinion, this is a major Coup for Figarti, I got the complete V-1 sets and also got out my K&C WS-100 and the figures are totally compatible. The quality of the castings are outstanding and the proportions are dead on. The painting is more subdued or hard edged and thats just fine as they represent the hard working trades, next to the K&C officier and guard.
One suggetion I'd like to make is for Figarti to put a nice color card showing what you've purchased in the box, most poses are self explanitory, but a picture would be nice as well as adding to the presentation.
Definately an A+ effort and I hope Figarti plans to add some pertinant vehicles and crew to this fantastic start.
I'm really impressed!

I agree Ray.Just for an instant size match i picked up the nearest K&C Figure in reach. It was the officer with the map from 'Panzer Meyers'set. It went so well!As you say the painting on the Figarti figures is subdued and very good.I feel the quality of Figarti figures has suddenly just exploded,i can't wait to see the 1/30 stuff thats coming.(And that V2!!)

Rob

I agree, top notch. I picked up all four sets at OTSN and have them displayed with some K&C figures. A perfect fit.
Can,t wait for the V-2. From what I heard some vehicles will come with that set.
I,ve said this all along about Figarti, especially now that they are into 1-30. They need to do the slightly off beat sort of stuff as the V-1 and V-2.

Dear Rob, Nick, Ray, Gary,

Thanks for the compliments on the V1 and the support shown, really appreciate it. The FM30 line is new and we will continue to build on it and V2 development is definitely on its way!

Appreciate the support.

Purchased the V1 at the East Coaster yesterday and I have to agree it is a fantastic set. The detail is great down to the word markings on the side of the rocket. The crew looks great and I used it with a K&C halftrack and the scale is perfect. I only wish I had room for the E Boat. :(:D

My V1 (2 of them) and support crew is already ordered and will be arriving soon.

This is my first Figarti purchase to Rob, And it's pure art in a box. I saw all the V-1 sets on display at the HobbyBunker, and I had to have them. They sitting in their boxes for now, :confused:the wife.....

I'm going for the V-2 next.

I own all the V-1 sets now except the four-man crew set - my bank account is running dry now. :) I have a question for those of you who have the V-1 that comes with the cart. Based on these pictures: http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5460, http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/detail.aspx?ID=3188, I was expecting the wings to be a dark green colour to match the green scheme on the rest of this V1, but the wings on mine were actually a shade of gray closer to the colour of the V1 that comes with the launch rail. How about the wings on your cart V1s – green or gray?

P.S. IXEC, be careful getting your V1s out of their boxes - it's like operating on a patient. I ended up breaking down the styrofoam walls to get at that thing.

Thanks for that removal tip CS,

And boy am I glad you asked about the camo colors. I can't see colors well, so I asked the wife who has great color vision, if see could " see " the differances you mentioned CS. Do you see where I'm going, see doesn't know when I bought all the Figarti V-1 sets. She didn't say, " hay when did you buy these " , now she knows I have them.

I have Monogram's book titled ' V-Missiles of the Third Reich ', by Dieter Holsken.

The V-1 with the lanch rail has the camo version common to the spring of 1945. And the trolly V-1's camo was common to the summer of 1944.

She says the wings on the trolly V-1 are not the same color as the rail V-1.

Mr. Holsken said that no official color scheme for the V-1 has ever been discovered. But he does say that three color scheme V-1's were extremely rare.

I wish me Dad were still around. He got to know the V-1's personally, almost being killed by them on more than one occasion in Belgium. And got close enough to sit on one.

P.S. CS, I wouldn't wait around to long for getting the trolly crew, Figarti only made 60 sets worldwide. I'd like to know why there are no national insignia on any of the V-1 crew men's tunics.

IXEC, thanks for the info. That's really cool about your dad.

That's also a good question about the insignia. My guess is Figarti simply couldn't find any authoritative references of their uniforms so decided to leave it off rather than risk making a mistake. It is a pretty obscure subject. On page 19 of the Osprey New Vanguard 106 book "V-1 Flying Bomb" it shows a crewman and he has the Luftwaffe eagle on the right breast of his tunic. So perhaps Figarti's figures should have had that as well.

Likewise I was wondering about the pink stripe on their hats - pink was for panzer troops in the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS and engineering officials in the Luftwaffe, according to a chart I have. That sounds a bit strange for V-1 crew, but it could be right, I have no idea, and I would be interested if anyone else knows.

HI CS, the piping is most likely Red (Generals, Artillery or Flak), rather than Pink.

Red being the German artillery color or more correctly a Flak color as the V-1 was the Luftwaffe's responsibility under Flak Regiment 155 (W). Btw, the V-2 was controlled by the Army.

Thanks Oz for the info about Flak Regiment 155 - you're right no doubt that was what they were going for. It still looks sort of pinkish to my eyes, but meh. Wasn't the V2 also taken over by the SS eventually?
