Well done. What do you use for the grass? I like how you blended the bases with the ground cover and the stray blades of grass on the curraissier's sword is a nice touch.

My soldiers are in my home office as well but not as well displayed as yours I fear.

Well done. Not into the Napoleonics, but yor dispaly is beautiful and I like the way you tell a story with it.
Great job.

Very nice. That pistol wielding cavalryman is just too .

Funnily enough Saber, he's the one out of that range that appeals most to me as well, although they're all pretty  'Specially the dismounted one enjoying his pint.

BTW, mk that Broken Square Display is excellent, and I agree with CS, your desk/shelf system looks really nice. Any chance of a close-up of (what looks like) your WWI vignette..?? It looks pretty interesting as well and I really don't know how much longer I can hold out before i take the plunge into WWI. Every time I see other peoples WWI displays I can feel myself getting sucked in.:eek::)

Cheers

Outstanding looking. You can always get rid of those books and you'll have more room:)

Very nicely done - looks brilliant! I'm already severely envious of your workspace/shelving area. I'm promising myself that something like that will be on of the first things on the shopping list when I eventually move into a place of my own!

The diorama itself looks extremely colourful and realistic - really reminds me of some of the descriptions of the fighting against Kellermann's Cuirassiers at Quatre Bras.

Incidentally, given the Highland regiment featured in the display, has anyone else ever come across any references to the apparent murder of the commander of the 92nd (Gordon) Highlanders at Quatre Bras? While browsing through Wikipedia the other day, I came across this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fragging#Notable_incidents reference to a supposed early occurance of "fragging". First time I'd ever heard of this particular incident - curious as to whether there might be any truth to it or not?

Regards,

Molloy.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on this display.

The grass I used Eric is by Woodland Scenics. It is "Blended Turf, Earth Blend T1350". I also used it on my "French Gate Crashers" Display that is right beside it.

All of my other figures are locked in curios since I have a daughter. It will be a long time before she gets tall enough to get a hold of any of these.

For those of you who didn't see my WWI train display that is still a work in progress, the link to those pics is below. Don't hold out Harry, buy some. It is a great range.

Very nice...but have to admit that it is most likely the British troops destroying yet another French calvary attack...:p

Just remember Wellington that though the French appear to have the upperhand in this battle, they lose the war! :D

Hi Harry

Its strange ... I like the guy with the saddle the most , but I have not gotten him. Without his mount, he looks a wee bit out of place.

I wish K&C would issue a follow up ... with another trooper holding a horse ready, for this guy to saddle, That should make a wonderful looking vignette.

OD

I'm not positive about this, but I believe that saddle guy is supposed to depict an incident where a French trooper had his mount shot out from him by one of Wellingtons squares and as he retrieved his saddle in front of the Brits he was cheered/jeered and allowed to make his way back?:)

Hey, I didn't know that - but it does have a ring of truth about it somehow.

I think that the 42nd...is one of the nicest out of the series....I love every one of them!!!!!
