I was wondering when K&C did the Normandy village & the back lot buildings.
I have never seen them in person and was just wondering how rare they are.
I wished K&C would consider doing more. I am sure they would sell.
Thanks
Andy
In addition I just added some pictures of my 'Normandy village' that I made as a display for my K&C soldiers. I made all of the sections out of plywood bases and added streets and landscape. The buildings are mostly Verlinden that I painted.
I still want to add street lights and windows plus more rubble. Never seem to have enough rubble. I would post the pictures here but do not know how so if any one wants to see them they are in one of my albums.
Thanks
Andy
There were two Normandy villages, both designed by John Jenkins by the way. The first is made up of some greyish styrofoam like material and the second (circa 2000) is polystone. They are not that rare, the polystone versions less so. The Arnhem back lots builds are made of papier mache (circa 1995) and are quite rare. I have a couple of the buildings and they are quite nice. Louis has the full set as does Njja and we all like them very much.

Backlot Buildings are Circa 1996 and are quite difficult to find. They are among my favorite items. They made a total of 5 different Buildings each with
two sides so you can put together quite a nice town or Village.
Many thanks for the kind comments about our now retired K&C Normandy Buildings… both series.
For the record… All of these buildings and facades were designed by my good friend John Jenkins and myself. Both of us spent many long and enjoyable hours tossing back and forth ideas, sketches and concepts for both series.
However I have to say it was John who did the final sculpting… and a fine job he did too! It was always a pleasure working with him.
