Living only a few miles away from the Irvine Marriott, I go right after work Friday night. Even though I'm primarily a K&C collector now, my first stop is the AeroArt/St. Petersburg room since they are more likely to sell out of their best stuff prior to the show. If you're just collecting K&C I would think going the Sunday show would suffice.

Hi Sammy:

Get there as early as possible-at least by Friday morning via the "room" patrol or those special K&C pieces will be gone. Trust me, you will be able to fill the time there. I trust that there will also be some symposiums/seminars to attend put on by K&C via various sponsors as well as Figarti. But here is the best part-you will get to meet many of the "Usual Suspects" on this forum. I hope to see you there.

Tally Ho,
Beau

I've never been to the West Coaster but have been to Chicago a couple of times. My view is that if you exhaustively do the room trading (and get there asap if you're looking for retired stuff), the day of the show is not really necessary. This year I went to the show for about one hour, looked around, left and caught an earlier flight. Now, if you live nearby, I would go to the show. If I lived in Chicago, I would do both. But since I don't and I had imposed my passion on my family, I thought it was best to get home as soon as I could.

I agree with Beaufighter - GET THERE EARLY !!

You never know what you will find in the room trading madness - there is always that unexpected figure or set that pops up and you go WOW ! :eek: :eek: - I GOT IT !! Oh Happy Day :D

Don't forget to take pics for those who are unable to go anywhere, like my self.

Cheers :confused::(

Well, I usually grab all the really old K&C glossy figures (if available) and the reasonably priced new stuff Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.:D Brad can tell you how he was a step behind me in Chicago where I got three of the original glossy K&C motocycles for original list price..:D I always attend the show because out of about 60 dealers, only about 15 of the dealers get rooms. There is always something at the show that you do not see in the rooms.:)
