Guys time for a blaintant open 'K&C is the best' post

I have sent Andy a mail sepratly but i just had to publically say that the operation that K&C have is by far a class act.

After a false start with BA at Newcastle airport due to those Morons!! i eventually got to HK a day late. That still did not interupt my meeting on Monday with Andy just ment i had less time with my Brother and family.

My commute to the K&C office was a funny one, i left my brothers house at 9.30am on Lantau and road his trike to the peir to get the ferry to HK. It was 34 degrees and the humidity was 56% so needless to say i was warm!!.

Off ferry and into cab to Lockhart road! 23rd floor and there it was purrrrrrrrrreeeee K&C heaven. Now i know a few of you guys have been there before but when you see all the K&C items plus other peices that Andy has worked on it is amazing.

Then into his office well (i did comment i would not like to dust it!!) there is mountains apon mountains of reference materials and figures and toys from all over..............amazing made it very hard for me to concentrate on my meeting notes which was the reson for being there.

I then was very privaliged to see some working sof the future of K&C and true to my word i will keep 'stumb' but WWWWWWWWWWwwowooooooooooooooo wee it looks good. I also came up witha few suggestions of my own which i think are a winner (but i am great LOL:D ) All i will say guys is warm up those credit cards kick the kids and wife out (keep the dog to protect your displays, or in my case keep the wife she is more scary) and get ready for a rollercoaster they call the K&C development as it 'aint' stopping for nobody. I am sat in buckled up and ready for the ride of my life.

Andy i like the can do better approach and we have a lot in common when it comes to where this industry is going................. Andy it was a rela pleasure

No coffee but i am buzzing for this industry. Mike and Sue asked me if i was tired today and i said no and i am really not even though my brain thinks that it is nearly 9pm in HK time.

Andy is a true master of his craft and when you watch the true Skilled painters that he has what a team...........................

Glad you had a good trip.Question is did you see any future WW2 stuff and can you give us a clue?!!

Yes i did see WWII along with some other great concepts being worked on. Some will be this year and they are better than ever and nobody has done them again K&C will lead the way.

Tony, sorry I'll miss you this year in Chicago. Any new UK limited editions in the works like last years Sherman?

No no UK specials THIS YEAR. Mike and Sue are going to Chicago this year, it is mums last 'swan song' as she is enjoying retirement from the last 11years of working with K&C UK.

We will dust her off for the odd show and of course she is an integral part of the K&C UK organiasation of the TOY SOLDIER SHOW LONDON (she makes the tea)

Myself and Andy had a very interesting meeting and i am to professional to say what specifics were discussed but we were like to kids (well i am a lot closer to being a kid than Andy!!:) )

I can just say that the stuff i was privaliged to see will Shut up a lot of treefrog Moaners (maybe not JohnGamble) and will blow the rest away!!

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Tony. Being a big fan of Brit comedy in general and The Vicar if Dibley in particular, I found your "NO UK K&C specials this year" statement confusing.:D

If you're still in HK, could you please ask, no make that "beg", Andy to make some American armor for the the Battle of the Bugle series this winter? ;)

I have come from spending 13years working in the customwer service health & fitness world and boy did you get the moaners there...................

Toy soldier collectors ....................pah small fry................a toy soldier collector who works out and moans,now that is a true pain in the ***!

I sat with Andy and i have to say does truly listen to you guys on here. Isaid to much and if he were to look at the % of customers globally to those that come in here and only develop the product to those in here...............well lets just say the bank will make sure there is no K&C in the future to buy.

I don't know if we're a representative cross section of the people who buy K & C. I do know that there are a lot of people who look at this board who are not members so I think we all need to bear that in mind when we say something, myself included.
 
Most of the suggestions and complaints from members are for the improvement of the models. Which then increases profits for the manufactures as more people will be likely to buy them. It's that simple guys, this is not rocket science or some diabolical scheme.

Of course much depends on how these 'moaning' members are handled by the management, whether in the fitness industry or otherwise. Btw, I've seen a muscle bound guy cry like a baby at a gym because he couldn't get a contact lens in, so maybe they aren't all as tough as some may think.

Wise managers always makes it clear to the person complaining that they intend to resolve the problem asap to satisfy that individual, and other members as a whole. Poor managers tend to live in denial and become abusive to their complaining customers.
