I just received my new M7 in Friday's mail. Looks very nice. It's a early-mid M7 - much nicer than the old DD30 Priest. Overall it has nice detail and mine was well painted. I had on mis-assembled part - the equillibrator spring (the coil spring and rod underneath the howitzer) was attached to the travel brace instead of the rear of the gun. I can't say I like the logs on the sides, but that's just my opinion. There were some M7s with logs in Europe - not common, but they were there.. By the way, the logs are not added armor, they were carried for use in "unditching" the vehicle in muddy conditions. The logs are more often seen towrds fall/winter as the ground got softer. The additional figure set looks nice. I must say that the figures from the old DD30 were "neater" poses and came with the vehicle instead of being an add-on, but these figures really help set the scene. Overall a bit expensive, but a really nice addition to my ETO collection. Each armored division had three Armored Field Artillery Battalions, with 18 "Priests" in each, plus there were seperate Arm'd FA Bns, so the M7 was very common in Europe in 1944-45. Thanks Andy!

Thanks for the review. Logs seem to be the new accessory I have just got a finnish stug in kit form which comes with logs as defensive armour
