First with OTSN just a week away I would like to thank in advance those people who will provide coverage for those of us who can’t attend. Your time, comments and pictures really help all of us on the home front.

Well ever since the announcement by Andy that the Seaforths were not the new range I have been trying to think of what it could be. Andy did give us all a major clue by saying it was a range never done before by a Toy Soldier company.

Well after much thinking and researching I have had epiphany and know what this new line of toy soldiers will be. Og the Caveman Wars! Yes let us all go back to prehistoric times when real men wore fur and hides. Weapon advancements were like this…rock feel good in hand, I can throw rock and it might hurt bad cavemen. Behold ranged infantry was born. We can all argue whether these guys would look better in matt or glossy. Maybe K&C will release both. I can see now the mighty wars fought over who owns the copyright to fire, and the hey what are you going to do with that club war. The possibilities are endless.

I have it on a totally fabricated rumor that to kick things off at OTSN that there will be a special limited edition Wooly Mammoth with battering ram attachment. Yes I can see this line being immensely popular. Plus I am very confident that no other toy soldier company has ever done it before.

Cheers,
Old Guard

If caveman is the new series, this will definitely be the Strictly Limited set ;)

I believe that Andy has told Brad that the new series will be a 1/30 scale replica of Shea Stadium and figures of the Mets baseball team defeating the Red Sox in the 1986 World Series. The new series will include figures of all 57,000+ fans as well as food vendors. Individual figures will be $50.00 each. A special limited edition figure of Bill Buckner will be available for $350. This figure will have a genuine leather glove and shoes. It is expected to sell out as soon as announced.

As for the new range, the clues are out there guys.I think we might be seeing a new series with a Naval theme.

Nope , they already make baseball figures!

It won't be postmen either :D was sending some boxes back home from Hong Kong and while in the queue at the post office noticed on sale (at half price :) )what looked liked postmen made by K&C from a set commerating hong kong postal service in 2000 . The guy behind the counter looked bemused when I bought a set:D

Is this a joke?

I joke you not:) K&C do some special figures for companies if they commission them. In this case the Hong Kong Postal service commissioned a set of Postmen to commerate the Hong Kong Postal service in the year 2000. According to the certificate on the box 2000 sets were made.
