Not sure but at a guess cheaper to make as apposed to 6 different figures ( much like many of the Britains ceremonial sets). And being HK I would imagine motorcycle cops are more prevalent.

Or it's missing one of the original pieces and was replaced with an extra officer? How would one know what the original set contained? I looked on Bsagers site and couldn't find this.

25,000 cops in 400 square miles, so yes there were a lot of motorcycle cops around.

Ok, after some digging, this is NOT a full set, etc., it is just a conglomeration of figures put together in a box, so no Holy Grail there, these figures were sold singularly.

I will not be bidding as it will be in the hands of a friend when its over.

It's an assortment of HKP 4, 5 and 7. My guess is that either K & C in Hong Kong or K & C UK (assuming that there was a K & C UK at the time) had some figures left over (and maybe was trying to get rid of them) and put them in a K & C box and sold them like that, perhaps to someone visiting Pacific Place.

Nice figures; I have HKP 6.

I, too, will not bid against our mutual good friend on this one.

Dear Raymond:
These later 20th century HK Policemen sure look like K&C's very early mid 1980's productions. Any K&C sets from the 1980's would indeed be considered "RARE" now days. Note you can get the circa 1897 Hong Kong Police type figures that are currently available for sale at normal retail prices!
