I just purchased this piece off EBAY...I thought it would be a nice addition to my K&C Napoleonics....I only collect the new stuff so I know very little about the older stuff...anyhow...how many figurees were in the Royal Navy series, were there anymore Napoleonic figures in the set, when was this figure made and does someone own one that they could share a better picture than what I have????

Brad I know you collected these or were looking for some at one time..perhaps you could help or provide a web page that has more info on them.

I love Napoleonic Navy stuff and any figure is hard to come by...I guess that is why I bought the Nelson Series through Britains.

Here is the link...

Wellington,

I have all the K & C Royal Navy, both Nelson's Navy and the more modern set. Here's a link to Bill Sager's site.

I have the brochure for this series but Bill doesn't have it on his website. I'll try to scan it later for you.

If you're interested in more of these, Aussie Monty (Andrew Montgomery) may have some.

I didn't realize K&C just came out with NELSON...is this old or new? What other ones am I unaware of...Also Brad can you give me a little info on the figure I just bought? Just read that you will scan for me that would be really good...I guess you don't have an extra?.....:)

Also, Alexanders Toy Soldiers does a really cool line of Royal Marines and some sailors from the Napoleonic era. They are gloss and about the same size as LL (sl. bigger). He offers several different boats filled with figures (pricey but look very nice) and a wide range of figures to make a very impressive landing party scenario.

Sorry, just have one. K & C did Nelson's Navy and Royal Navy, six figures each. They also did a drug and bugle set, which I also have, the last marching band they did.

There's not a lot of info in the brochure, which also covers other ceremonial sets. It just says what the series is made up of but not much historical detail.

Brian,

I'll send you his email via pm. Give me a second to find it.

Here is one image downloaded from ATS site.

Wellington, read back a few posts. That boat in several versions, and a gunboat similar to it as well as a bunch of individual figures are all currently available from
Alexanders Toy Soldiers.

Reference the Royal Navy boat by ATS. This is available as both a full hulled version and also a waterline model. It comes in various versions, as a rowing boat manned by eight oarsmen with a complete Royal Marine landing party, as a gunboat under sail as previously illustrated and also as a rocket battery with appropriate crew. Further versions are in the pipeline. Full details can be obtained from ATS. It may be of interest to note that ATS supply their figures either matt or gloss painted, as unpainted kits, and will even do special conversions for their customers. They have a massively comprehensive range of Napoleonic figures and the complete and expanding range of Lancer.
