I am looking for information on two pieces marked K&C SPQR Classics CBG7A and CBG9A. They look to be part of the barbarians but i can not find anything with the CBG prefix on any website.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Brian-

those were releases, if memory serves- 2000-2002ish time frame. The nomenclature stands for Celts Britains Gauls- CBG.

I had the same type of question (with reply) on 12-31-2011 Tread:
Can anyone tell me anything about the early k&c barbarian sets, the bottom of the bases say "Classics" and "S. P. O. R." and one outer box (old green ones) with a sticker says "CB67b"?
I emailed Lawrence Lo and he told me: "The Barbarians were to go with the Romans series. The code was CBG which were Celts, Britons and Gauls. So, the set you have is CBG7b. The b signifies a different paint scheme for the same pose."
Any additional information would be appreciated, including year of production........., Thanks, Tom
Hi Tom
This series came out in 1998 with 13 Roman and 10 Celt sets. There were A and B versions on 5 of the foot figures (CBG6-10) featuring different shields and weapons as well as the paint schemes. I'll try to post the leaflet image when I get the chance. Jamo
