Hi everyone,

I just thought I'd share a few pics of some of my favorite K & C figure's facial expressions. I've always felt that a great figure starts and ends w/ a well sculpted, expressive face; not necessarily demonstrative and purposeful, but well defined, nonetheless. Of course, there are tons of examples to pick from among the hundreds of outstanding K & C figures, but here are just a few of my favorites. Please share some of your favorites too if you get a chance. :)

This face embodies leadership and confidence, and someone whom you'd be best served to follow directions from :p!

Here's a fearsome, rabid looking warrior who could probably even send a brave man running in the opposite direction!

I know this shot doesn't show the faces so well, but here is a group of very determined and focused-looking Crusaders who seem to be silently saying "God wills it!" ;).

IMHO, K & C's Barbarians are amongst the finest figures they have ever produced. In every way they are all "A+'s" to me, and I could have shown a pic of perhaps any one of them. But this warrior exhibits the rising fever of war as it approaches its apex.

I could go on and on w/ pics of these amazing figures, but I guess I should save some space for other possible contributors ;). So, lastly here is group of GI's communicating w/ each other. I love the expressions of the two soldiers working on the damaged Sherman. They are looking in the direction of the Chaffe tank commander who is shouting out to them to see if they could use a hand. The subtle expressions of the figures working on the damaged Sherman are really remarkably done and complete one of K & C's finest Bulge sets, IMHO.

Enjoy and thanks for looking at the pics!

Joe, here's another couple of GI's but from the Bulge this time. Two battle-worn veterans with determination on their faces.

Thanks Sotnik- that is an awesome pic and figure! I don't collect NAP figures, but I'm telling you what....I'm going to pick up that figure if it's still in production! I'm gonna look that one up now......

Thanks for posting the pic Duke of the Bulge figures; I agree, those guys look like "the real deal". I don't have that set, after all, we can't have 'em all ;) (or can we? :p). That's the Buldge set w/ the German prisoner abd includes another GI escort, yes?

Thanks Joe. Yes, the base is a JG item (includes the fence) and the large tree in the background is JG. The smaller pine is BAR.

Another one of my favorite faces/figures from K&C is the IWJ Marine flamethrower... one of my all time favorites.

Super piece Lewey Gun Vick, got that one myself ( don't really collect much BOB but this piece spoke to me ) and its one of my favourites. In fact that brotherhood you speak of has been modelled in a number of K&C pieces in a variety of era's such as WS 084 Waffen SS winter sledge, MG 003 Brit para with wounded buddy over his shoulder, CW 012 WoundedConfederate Officer slumped onto his soldier etc. All really great pieces that convey that brotherhood and humanity that soldiers share with each other. They are some of my most precious pieces to collect.

I agree guys wholeheartedly. Another good example is from IWJ022 bringing a wounded buddy back on your shoulders.

Agreed, I've actually thought about buying the USMC Pacific Theatre figures just for those two guys.

It is amazing that all of these faces seem so real. The best part about this hobby for me is that it brings history to life. One look at theses faces and you are almost there with them.
