Now is this not what the hobby is all about? The grand kids just came back from shopping. They found this neat red little Chinese arch at an aquarium store and brought it back for Grandpa........They put the Empress dowager in it and it looks like it was made for it. Reminds me of Shexian County by Mt. Huangshan.
Isnt that cool.......and what this hobby is all about?? I felt stupid sitting here worrying about the future of our posts. I will use mine like this.:)

Bright and colourful, very nice. Funny I have some bridges coming from a aquarium shop at the moment. Only place it seems to get backdrops for the IC range, cheers, Robin.

Yes indeed Ludwig, The arch goes great with the figures. If you said it was a K&C release I would believe it !!!

That arch is brilliant. I've had a look at my local aquarium stores and found a couple of bits and pieces for my SOHK display, but none as good as that!

Hi Ludwig,

Yes I got the Hunting set some time ago too. It is a great set from K&C. When you put in mounted qianlong, the mounted lancer , the mounted officer and a few marching soldiers, you can have a hunting trip diorama. ^&grin

It sure is a great set. I cannot wait to do a diorama with it. But I am working on four others right now so it will have to wait. Thanks!!

Dear Ludwig,

You're such a blessed man :)

Phoong thank you. I am blessed with wonderful grand children and not too far away from Great Grand children....but do not tell anyone!!{eek3} Thank you and make some more HK displays to show us!!!! I wish I was in Singapore. It has been years. I miss the food from the street vendors. Or should I say Phoong....sudah makan!!:) OH, for a bowl of Singapore Street Noodles right now!!! Everyone, if you have not sailed into the bay of Singapore and put down...then walked the streets eating from the street vendors...then...put it on your bucket list.

Maple Leaf....let me lay it down for you. Out of all of the KC items ever made....to me the top three are and not necessarily in this order. The Chinese Wedding Set, The Egyptian Chariot Set, and the strictly limited Winter Tiger. Now here is some Ludwig tried and true advice.......get the set...figure out where to put it later!!!!! Actually I may be incorporating mine into a wall mounted curio!!

Ludwig these are some aquarium bridges, cheers, Robin.

They are very nice. After seeing them I actually have been scouring the aquarium stores. :)

Now I just picked up this piece it is HK156 I do not have a display piece. It is outstanding. It so heavy you could knock somebody out with it. What detail!!! What a deal for the money. I do not have a pic of it yet but I wll post the stock one for now!!

Dear Ludwig,

Hope you have gotten HK 166 Children at Play and HK 183 Clown, to go with the beautiful set you have just gotten. They would have made a wonderful dio together. Singapore has changed alot over the years, you would be pleasantly surprise with the changes when you make a trip here :)

Phoong I do not have these two sets yet, but someday! What did you think of the new IC soldiers in the dispatch? Pretty nice.

Thanks for your post. I can imagine how nice Singapore is today.....do you shop at I think it is Mikes KC soldier store?

Ludwig:)

Hi Ludwig,

The new IC soldiers are good but am just thinking whether King and Country would sell them in bundles like 10 for USD 220 (collectors can buy them like in groups of 50) since they look good in numbers. Personally I felt that General Zhangfei should be made as well as General Zhao Yun, both are from Liu Bei's Camp. Zhang Fei is the sworn brother along with General Guan Yu to Liu Bei, in the Oath of the Peach Garden. Zhao Yun is one of my personal favorites from the romance of three kingdoms. He is known for his valour and loyalty to Liu Bei. I shop mainly at The Soldier's Story located at Funan Singapore, the shop is featured in one of the collector's issue :)

by the way the suggested HK sets placed below :)

Thanks as always for your response. Particularly the history and of course your displays. The bulk cost thing is a great idea. Certainly would allow for large contingents to be procured more easily.

Keep up the good work Phoong.

Ludwig
