Kesari...the Battle of Saragarhi (2 Viewers)

Mike,
i first heard about this battle about 5 years ago from an Aussie Sikh who was the first here to do WW1 re-enacting.

An incredible story of bravery and fighting to the last man. Have watched it and think it was on Netflix. Naturally very popular story in India and it is major commemorative day for the Indian army.

Brett...

I never heard of it before...
when people reply with...
"what about the Spartan 300?"...or..."what about Roarke's Drift?"...
I neve heard this battle mentioned...

and then the story line sounded too Hollywood...
just didn't sound true...
too incredible to believe 21 men would fight the masses in front of them...
and could create so many casualties...

but yea...I have now read a several articles about it...
and I'm pretty sure it's a factual story...

those Sikhs must be some tough guys...

Just realised what I watched was a TV series. The trailer below is from a movie.

yes Brett...
this is a movie...
2 hours 33 minutes...offered free on Amazon Prime for me...
it it subtitled...
I wasn't aware it was also a series...
I'm gonna give it a try tonight...
will give my opinion if it's worth your time...

watched it today...
kind of a cross between Islawanda and the Alamo...
epic in cast, fighting and cinematography...
Havaldar...a John Wick type Sikh...must have killed 100 Arabs...
good watch...corny at times...but not lacking in blood and action...

most memorable line of movie..."Don't touch my turban.".................^&grin
