Nice photos do you have any more hidden away it's a nice collection of Glossy you have in your collection. Meant to ask you this awhile back did you end up with the King and Country 7th Cavaly figure with the arrow stuck in him when you bid for him on e-bay......The Lt.

I just sent poor Brad 23 photos of vintage K&C glossy figures to post. I had started typing up this post, and had gotten 14 photos into decribing what I sent Brad when my computer went haywire and ate my post. So sorry guys, I haven't got the patience to re-describe everything. If you don't know what is depicted, ask me about a specific photo and I will tell you. Everything in every photo is old K&C.

I have some more but haven't had a chance to put them on. I will do that this weekend.

I did win that figure but I was bidding on it for someone else. He'll be trading me some Highlanders for it. The West series has gotten a bit too expensive for my tastes so I'm going to sit back on that series for awhile.

Brad we're all in for a treat with both you and Louis providing a group of new photos. Seems like Louis keeps you busy and out of trouble with his forwarding you his photos. The best part about it is you get to see them first...The Lt.

The following pictures are from Louis' collection. I will post mine after that.

Oh My...

Louis you never cease to amaze me! It seems your collection knows no bounds it is truly a treat for me to see all of those fantastic Camel Corps Troopers and Sowers and the ones with the Guns are a lot of fun too! Are these Troopers a mix of NWF and the Sudan Campaign? Very good of you to share these pictures with us.

Thanks again!

All the best

Dave

I just posted a description. Brad will be posting 18 more photographs, and there is a good deal more early glossy K&C to photograph in my collection that hasn't been photographed for this thread yet.

Here are the next five. Maestro, take it away!

Next group of five.

1. The first photo in this group depicts the one 24th Foot figure K&C ever made: the officer shooting his pistol over the dead body of his horse (interestingly, the water bottle identifies this officer as being from the 24th, but the blue facing are wrong (should be green).

2-4. Some early red coated Seaforths defending the K&C Zulu War farmhouse.

5. Some glossy Napoleonics.

Next group of five.

1-3 The Hong Kong Police Force, complete with wood Land Rover, Hong Kong Jockey Club "A Day at the Races" figures, Sgt. Pepper's, Elvis, Charlie Chaplin, 90mm "St. Andrews Golfers" and Mounties.

4-5. American Revolution U.S. Marines and New York Regiment.

Last group.

1. American Revolution British;
2. Glossy WWII Allied (Free French and 82nd Airborne with early wood Shermans in both British and U.S. markings;
3. Glossy WWII Germans with wood Panther and Tiger.

Hi Louis
What/who where the larger golfing figures made for.
cheers Rob

King & Country made them back in 1993-1994. They come on wood bases with brass placques for engraving, so I think they are meant to be used as golf trophies.
