I received an email from K & C announcing the following:

With the story of King Arthur, his Knights and that very famous “Round Table” it’s exceedingly hard to separate mystery, myth and legend from the few known facts that are available.

The first release in June comprises the first three knights and King Arthur himself...the magnificent table and the King’s chair as well as a set of 11 individual chairs that surround the table.

This is really nice looking.
Hope not to heavy on the pocket.
Another great release.

This is a pretty amazing set. For those that collects this range/series it would be a must have on the Ol'e "Wish List"

This could be a really great series and go a long way.
However, "I" do hope that K&C stays away from the fighting poses and copies the success model as shown in the Ancient Egypt, Streets of HK and LOJ for examples.

Waiting to see if the Killer Rabbit and the Knights who say "Nee" show up.:wink2: -- Al

Yes more casual poses are always a better thing, look forward to a 'Merlin' doing his thing, peasants groveling in the mud, some mad monks and general Holy Grailing! ^&grin

Wayne.

why oh why is there a Tudor rose in the middle of the table ?

I believe that Andy and K&C design folks are using the Winchester Round Table as their example of Arthur's fabled table

The "Winchester Round Table," is a large tabletop hanging in Winchester Castle bearing the names of various knights of Arthur's court.
It was probably  created for a Round Table tournament. Google "Winchester Round Table for more information.

The artifact known as the "Winchester Round Table," a large tabletop hanging in Winchester Castle bearing the names of various knights of Arthur's court, was probably created for a Round Table tournament.[18] The current paintwork is late; it was done by order of Henry VIII of England for Holy Roman Emperor Charles V's 1522 state visit.

Makes more sense now

One of the very few things from K&C I don't like. Each to their own and some will love this. Didn't WB try to launch this range unsuccessfully some years ago?

This looks like something K & C must have been thinking about for almost 10 years as the picture was taken in 2007; Apple devices show when photos were taken. I'm curious why now and not sometime earlier.

Interesting that K & C have gone for the more "mythical" interpretation of King Arthur & Co. rather than a more "historical" post-Roman "Dark Ages" one.

Glad to see from previous comments that it is obviously going to be popular, but thankfully (for my pocket) not my cup of tea!

June looks as if it will be quite a busy month for new K & C releases - King Arthur, Soviets in Berlin 1945 and perhaps Oddball's Sherman and "Wardaddy"?

Yes and still see them mint in box at deep discounts

If I was going to collect King Arthur it would be a Dark age version but this is the version most people are familiar with so sales wise this would probably more popular. It could expand beyond just military collectors.

I agree with you, I also imagine Arthur and the knights dramatic, dark, not colorful...In a dark fantasy version in colours like these:

Gotta give Andy and his creative team some kudos... they are looking at popular culture with recent movies ie fury and broadening their appeal outside of military with the king Arthur set. Smart business once you buy the first 3 figures and the tables you will be on the hook for the rest to collect .... well played. Also the instant diorama set ie Hitler last parade plus making the texas show figure available to a broader audience... plus bi monthly releases... K&C is definitely one upping the competition this year....
