KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- April 2021 (1 Viewer)

Man this post has been a good read!

It's nice to see it's not just me that gets arsey! No offence intended to any fellow members!😉

The way i see it is:

We don't collect K&C figures and sets because they are marketed as rare and one off pieces - at least I don't - an Andy doesn't market his products as 'One off rare specials that will always retain their value and never be reproduced. To do that would be silly. We buy his sets as they represent an era of history and life which we share a passion and interest in. With this in mind I don't think he can really be criticized for repainting sets as there was never a clause which stated they wouldn't be. If one wants to continue to look for that set although it may be more expensive or if one wants to hold onto that set in the hope it will become rare and not be reproduced then that's their business. Andy makes no promises on either of these ideas as again he markets them as 'military miniatures' which is what he gives us - very finely detailed military miniatures.

God knows I've been a critic of Andy, but I've did some growing this past few months and as long as you keep producing and throw in some Market Garden and British Guards Armoured division sets every so often I am happy mate!😜

Many thanks!

Scott

Uh oh, the aliens have landed and one has taken over the body and mind of Scott.

Seriously Scott, if did not see your name on this would never have guessed it was you. Dont know what you have done to "grow up" but a very common sense outlook on collecting expressed in your post:salute::.

Earth to All Treefroggers!

It's really me haha! I think Covid 19 has just made me wake up to the idea that life is too short let's just all enjoy and live happy!😎I read a quote recently that stated if you are sitting in a warm house with money in your wallet then you are a minority of 15% of the world's population. Opened my eyes!

The ‘Sub Series’ about ‘The Real West’ is a good news for many, I guess.

It seems to me that almost all the historical periods, uniforms, clothes have been made by the various companies and therefore it is time to create "sub-series" to explore virgin lands ..

In the ‘World of Toy Soldiers’ there are always ‘New Lands’ to explore...and discover.
All the best,
Andy.

K & C did make Mounties many years ago and very nice ones. From my collection,

It's interesting on how threads about upcoming releases evolve into cryptic inferences. I think K&C has developed into one of the unabashed leaders in the toy soldier multi production world. They create incredible, varied products at decent prices on a myriad of topics. In American baseball terminology you can't bat 1000%. That would mean a 100% success rate. Great US based baseball players who bat 300%+ are considered in the top echelon. I like what Andy and his team do at KC. If you want supreme quality museum grade one of a kind work try contacting the artisans in Russia or Sri Lanka or elsewhere to fulfill a specific want or need. Keep up the great work producing high quality collectible figurines and vehicles. Collectors make numerous requests to satisfy their insatiable hunger to relive history in miniature. It's energizing to have a manufacturer like Andy interact and respond to the customers on this board.

No less than 18 x Brand-new British D.Day Infantry will be released over several months throughout the Summer to go with the Royal Navy LCVP and Sherman Vc’Firefly’.
Hope this helps,
Andy.
That sounds exciting

F. ‘GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!’

VN109 ‘Marines on Patrol’
The first three Marines of a section that will be on patrol when finally complete.
The two ‘light green’ marines are carrying their M16’s while the ‘dark green’ ‘Grunt’ is humping the M60.

Thank you Andy ... am totally hooked and cant get enuf of this Vietnam series. A slight request l have though ...

A M60 gunner would be supported by one or two rifleman with belts of M60 ammo draped over their shoulders.

Grateful if K&C would consider doing for future.

All the bests

Hi Andy,

Had a question re. the Base Flag Sets. How tall are they?

And on a side note, did any of you notice the 5th figure in the picture of the 4-man Japanese Gun Crew?

Perhaps JN066, skipped # in the JN numbering sequence.

Hey Rob,
I'm just starting to get back into the grove here.

I have both the Gun and the Crew figures on order. I did notice the (6th figure) and you very well may be correct ..... JN066???? An interesting figure, that I see being used as a guard at the entrance to the HQ or maybe in a parade or march of Japanese troops with the fall or Corregidor, entering Shanghai, or similar? Will welcome that figure and most likely get two or three.
