Nice to see some USMC and Pacific War themes.

Andy a few years ago said that Eastern Front Russian and Pacific War USMC themes just didn't sell well enough to commit in producing them. Then he took a chance on producing Russian figures and vehicles. Apparently they was good demand for this theme.

Now hopefully the Pacific War USMC figures and vehicles sell well too!

Thanks Andy for taking a chance.

It's nice to see Andy making some Marines. Hopefully, they do well for K & C. The second series of Marines about 10 years ago was some of the nicest figures they made.

Agreed, especially since Figarti doesn't seem to be producing anymore.

Hi guys. I don't know to start a new thread so I thought I'd post in this thread....It is King and Country related though. I've had my eye on the Japanese Zero JN014 (Sakai's zero) for while now. I usually just buy the single figure K&C and have purchased two of the single Japanese pilots in the range. I would love the Zero to go along with them but my wife would go nuts if she found out I spent €300 + on a model! :smile2: I've noticed Forces of Valor have a similar Zero model available and it's only like €40 or so. The only thing is is the scale. It think the King and Country one is 1:30 scale and the Forces of Valor one is 1:72 I think. Do you guys know much about the different scales and would the K&C figurines be way out of proportion to the Forces of Valor plane?

Kind regards,

James

Hello James ... unfortunately the K&C figures would be GIANTS compared to the FoV plane. Not even a close match. You might try looking for a Zero "model" kit for Taymia or other plastic model kit companies and try to build it yourself. However, even those kits are a lot of money. ?? ($150 - $175)

Finally the Corsair is winging its way to my house. The Zero and Corsair were the last two on my must have list. Thank you for both Andy!! I expect this will be popular.

Hopefully K & C will do a RN Corsair - perhaps with associated flight deck crew like the Japanese carrier crew range that accompanied the Zero.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the info. Carlo sent me a link to 21st Century diecast planes which are 1:32. I reckon the K & C Japanese pilots would look good beside them....Do you think so or would they still be a little out of proportion. God I don't know....I'm a perfectionist :smile2: They've gotta look proper ha ha.

I saw the Fury tank along with the crews this weekend at Sierra. They look incredible.

Looking forward to the spare rifles/machineguns...looking forward to more of them too as time goes on!

The Marines look really good too, though they're not really my thing. Believe it or not, I like it when the manufacturers take some time to go in other creative directions as it gives me time to catch up on collecting figures in the genres I collect. I also feel that when they return to these lines, the ideas are more dynamic; I enjoy the new creativity. You can say that I'm a fan of the fresh re-boot!

Quite like those 2 Marines, hope Andy has a few more planned, not much of an invasion force yet. Robin.

YES I think it could work ... but I am not a 100% perfectionist. YES, I do try to keep things in relative scale to each other but 1/30 and 1/32 are not too far off. There have been MANY, MANY threads on this exact topic where the collectors show figures side-by-side. Some have NO issue; some can live with it; and some seem bothered.

Maybe take your figure and go to a Hobby store where they sell 1/32 planes and see (if that is possible) ---:rolleyes2:

Post what you find, please

It looks good online, but it really does help to see an item in person, doesn't it? I have often found that a good item online will blow you away in person.

If there are Marines - Japanese soldiers should also be in the pipeline.... :salute::
