MK214 ‘Crouching Crusader Knight w/Sword’
An alternative colour versions of one of our Foot Knights.

MK215 ‘Fighting Crusader Knight w/Sword’
Rushing forward to meet the enemy.

MK216 ‘Kneeling Crusader Archer’

MK217 ‘Crusader Halberdier’

MK218 ‘Crusader Archer Standing Ready’

I think I am correct on below; I like the Crusader sub-series figures in this range, with a small group wearing the same livery, makes for great small vignettes of fighting groups. I always think they represent a group bought to the Holy Lands to fight for a local/regional Knight or Landowner. Would like to see further new editions used to add to these small groups and/or expand on figures [which have the same or similar livery] MK215, 217 and 218 to create a fourth grouping, with red background shield with a white cross.

MK214 ‘Crouching Crusader Knight w/Sword’ edition to MK119 - I have MK119, but from the pictures I think I like the new edition more.
MK215 ‘Fighting Crusader Knight w/Sword’
New edition to MK118 - I have MK118, but from the pictures I think I like the new edition more.
MK216 ‘Kneeling Crusader Archer’ New edition to MK170
MK217 ‘Crusader Halberdier’ New edition to MK171. I have MK171 and it is one of my favourite figures in this range.
MK218 ‘Crusader Archer Standing Ready’ New edition to MK172

DD348 ‘FFI Young Resistance Girl’
This striking figure of a young girl carrying her Schmeisser MP40 machine pistol is based on a famous photograph taken of another young girl during the liberation of Paris in August 1944.

Really great figure, based on Simone Sequin, who had a pseudonym of Nicole Minet. She is still alive and lives in the Eure et Loir area of France, famously photographed by Robert Capa. She is a real hero of France and her exploits in the resitance are stuff of legend. I like the way K & C have captured the way the MP40 dwarfs the young girl, as they did, bigger gun than people think.

Excellent new range, can see the appeal, plus further opportunities, such as a rider chasing down a steer with a rope, a chuck wagon, campfire scene, but not the one from the film Blazing Saddles and I think doing Mungo riding one of the cattle is a touch too far.

I believe this is supposed to be Simone Segouin.

Great French Resistance figures

The Cattle Drive is certainly an interesting idea and the figures seem very well done. I could see John Wayne and Montgomery Clift figures from “Red River,” a great movie.

I will get a few of the cattle, great for The Alamo or Rorkes Drift. Also need a few more ALH before they are gone

Those awesome Texas Longhorns don't look so different from Zululand cattle.
Also, a chance to expand cool animal collections! Thanks for the buffalo & hippo etc. K&C!
Paddy
P.S. Nice cowboys

VN121 ‘Full Metal Joker’
Throughout the entire movie we never get to hear ‘Joker’s’ real name. It was Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in boot camp at Parris Island who ‘christened’ actor Mathew Modine’s young Marine recruit ‘Joker’ after Modine interrupts Hartman’s introductory speech with an impression of John Wayne.
From ‘Joker’s’ demeanor you would expect that him to be a college student type and would have got himself some kind of student deferment however here he is in Vietnam, for ‘Stars ‘n’ Stripes’ , the U.S. forces newspaper, and finally in the ‘real war’ as opposed to being ‘in the rear with the gear’.
Being a ‘REMF’ (Real Echelon M... F...) he has come to the ‘real war’ armed to the teeth with extra grenades (both fragmentation and smoke), a bandolier of additional ammo, a .45 cal. pistol, his knife and of course, an M16 rifle, he’s also brought along his camera to get a few ‘action’ shots... Soon, he’ll get all the ‘action’ he wants and then some!

VN123 ‘Old Vietnamese Woman’
One thing many American GI’s noted as they patrolled the countryside and went through villages was how often they seemed to be populated only by young children and old people.
Among the many reasons for this were the facts that the young men had frequently been drafted into the ARVN forces (Army of the Republic of Viet Nam) or had fled and been forced into the Viet Cong. Some young women had also been recruited into the Viet Cong or had moved to the larger towns and cities seeking work.
That meant many of the remaining children being left behind in the care of elderly grandparents or other relatives.
K&C’s ‘Old Vietnamese Woman’ leans on her stick and contemplates the world around her. Over the decades she has seen the French Colonizers ... the Japanese Occupiers ... and now, these big, bold Americans . Most of them have come and gone. Will these Americans come and go too...? Who knows, all she wants is for the war to stop...and peace to return.

AVAILABLE: Early July

Additional Note:
A figure of ‘Rafterman’ , ‘Joker’s buddy will follow later.

Actually Saigon,,and most other larger cities had hoards of military age viets lounging on the corners,,riding hondas etc,,bought their way out or,,,,almost as many as the peers in my post Viet Corporate job populating the natl guard and the Reserves,,a 99percent ticket out of the war,,maybe some riot duty in mo town,,oh those waiting lists to get in.

Thank you again

How about an ARVN soldier on a scooter with his "Girlfriend" or perhaps the two separate figures and scooter to give more possibilities !
