KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- March 2016 (1 Viewer)

The Jeep and crew is on my March purchase list ans so is the Sahariana
guy:)

The Jeep looks VERY tempting! It's marked for the 4th Infantry Division's 12th Infantry Regiment. The dashboard MG mount was an item developed at the behest of the infantry. It's also a really sharp looking model with an interesting set of figures.

d) “Incident in The Forest”
Since launching our “Robin Hood” series late last year we’ve wanted to produce two of the most famous (and infamous) characters from the tale..

RH004 “Little John”
John Little was a legendary fellow outlaw of Robin Hood. Indeed it was Robin who changed his name to “Little John” on account of his great height and skill with both a bow and a quarterstaff.
In film he was portrayed no less than three times by actor Alan Hale Sr. The famous British character actor James Robertson Justice also portrayed him in the 1952 Walt Disney version of the Robin Hood tale starring Richard Todd as Robin.
Our figure is a blend of both and stands four-square, arms folded, his hunting horn hanging from his belt.

RH006 “Sir Guy of Gisbourne”
Guy of Gisbourne is one of the great villains from the Robin Hood legends of English folklore. A Norman Knight, he is a loyal henchman of the evil Prince John and the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham.
As such he is a sworn and dangerous enemy of Robin Hood. In movies and television he has been portrayed by many talented actors but perhaps the best was Basil Rathbone in the 1938 Errol Flynn “The Adventures of Robin Hood.”
Our model is a small tribute to this great actor and a great movie.

Special Note: Look out for more great “Robin Hood” figures (including the Sheriff’s Men-At-Arms) in the coming months. PLUS “Maid Marion” and “Alan-a-Dale” as well.

AVAILABLE : Mid March

Wonderful !

Got to have "Gisbourne" and "Little John"...looking forward to "Marion", "Alan-a-Dale" and the rest.

Thank you.

Great selection of releases this month. The 8th Army tank crew and 2pdr look very nice. Perhaps - hopefully - in the future we will see a BEF version of the 2-pdr and a desert version of the Sahariana.

Good Month for me
Bad month for the bank balance.........
Jeep is great
winter Para as well
FOB sets are a must have
Desert stuff is really nice
Nap stuff is something I will get, but when.............

Great to see the new Dad's Army figures. The Alpini look interesting. It would be nice to see a crew for the Sahariana. Look forward to a possible desert version.

Some very nice pieces; esp. like the new 8th Army items.

What I really appreciate is the improved detailing of the faces for all the figures. Getting better each year!

I'll be picking up all of the new Napoleonic Royal Artillery sets. Fortunately, I've already got all of the older French Foot Artillery sets otherwise 2016 would be a pretty expensive year. Hopefully, we will see more Napoleonic releases this year! I'm still hoping for the 95th Rifles!

Cheers,

Brendan

The LRDG line was some of the best stuff ever made by K & C. I wish they would revisit it. C'mon, how about it Andy? Lot of new collectors who never had the chance to buy them, not to mention we could use a Ford to complement the Jeep and Chevy.

Jeeps have been done so well over the years by K&C. I agree, LRDG/SAS jeeps need a reboot. The only complaint I've ever had about them (privately) was that the US recon jeeps had .30 Cal Machineguns and not .50 Cal M2's.

I'd love to see an Allied jeep with either an SS or FJ crew, and a schwimmwagen with a US/Brit crew.
