Really nice sets, the Vietnam sets look good and open a question for me, I was considering starting collecting a new range, I liked the look of the J Jenkins Aztec range, colourful and a bit different, but the new Vietnam sets have got me thinking again.........
Good book on Vietnam I re-read is 365 days by Ronald J Glasser.
Hi Mr. W,
'365 Days' is also one of my favourite books on the Vietnam War. It's a collection of short stories written by a doctor, Ronald J. Glasser MD, who served in Vietnam. Outstanding and occasionally heart-breaking...Highly recommended.
Andy.
Pre-ordered the set of the Hue '68 Marines today along with the WW2 Marines and thinking of diorama ideas for these new Marines. At present thinking of trying out something along the lines of a ruinous Buddhist Temple. Really looking forward to seeing what sort of theme the K&C diorama takes as usual it'll be a masterpiece no doubt and give us all lots of ideas and perhaps previews of later releases !
Andy, I think we'll be needing an updated Jeep for these little fellas, perhaps with a recoilless rifle mounted on it like the IDF one !
Steve
Yes Steve the new Vietnam series gives a lot of possibilities for a Diorama! I am also very curious what kind of diorama Andy is going to make for these 68 Marines! But I think it is the city of Hue. I found a few beautiful Vietnam buildings 1:35 scale.
Harrie
I think we may well have been looking at same buildings facades Harrie ! Seems to be plenty in 1.35 scale, though those may look too much out of scale with 1.30, I notice one thing most of those two story buildings have in common are balconies. Made to hold snipers !
Steve
Yes I think so too! it is a beautiful building but I am waiting for a while. first the Hue '68 Marines and the Diorama by Andy. but the ideas are there. have a nice evening.
Harrie
