KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- October 2018 (1 Viewer)

Yes, hopefully that will be the M113 APC for the Israeli forces and painted green for the Vietnam War (US & Aussie) . Should include infantry riders too.

John

I would think Infantry riders would be popular for all versions and ranges. Hopefully Andy will make a good few of them as these would go well on other vehicles wheel and tracked and other scenes, assuming he thinks likewise.

Morning Guys ... well this is am easy selection for me {sm4} ...or maybe not. :redface2:
Of course the latest Japanese will be running the gap and and landing in Waldoboro soon.

But I got to admit I am impressed with the newest collection of Vatican Guards. The series was in need of some direction and these new figures really fill out the possibilities. They weren't on my radar before this morning, but now .....

Hi LaRRY,

I couldn't agree with you more :) As I've already said, K&C has beefed up the Swiss guard line but, above all, has made the Pope!!! Once again, let me thank Andy for taking on board an old my request!

Cheers

Gee, my friend .... could it be ...:rolleyes2: the reason is that you live only 8 hours from the Vatican ???? {sm4}
With your skills you should come up with a Great dio. Looking forward to that!!!!

My Pope is on his way to a new posting in a Normandy church^&grin, Robin.

D. “The Emperor’s New Uniform”
Most of K&C’s Napoleon Bonaparte figures have him dressed in the blue and white of the Old Guard however there is an alternative... much favoured by the Emperor himself.

NA416 “Mounted Napoleon” (Chasseur Colonel’s Uniform)
As we know the Emperor had several iconic items of clothing... His bicorne hat, his greatcoat and ... apart from the previously mentioned ‘Old Guard’uniform – his ‘green’ Chasseur Colonel’s uniform.
He particularly liked the Chasseur uniform and often wore it in recognition of the loyal and devoted service of his Chasseur Regiments who frequently provided his mounted escort while on campaign.
Just two complete sets of this green uniform survive to this day. One is still worn by the Emperor himself and lies in honour with him in his tomb in Les Invalides in Paris.
This latest mounted version of the Emperor shows Napoleon wearing his trademark grey greatcoat underwhich can be seen his ‘Colonel of Chasseurs’ green uniform.

AVAILABLE: Early October

I missed the earlier version of this figure, so I look forward to adding this Napoleon to my collection.

Hi John,
Always sorry to disappoint anyone of course...but when any company, anywhere has as many different ranges and series as K&C has you will disappoint someone, somewhere at some time.

Or, as the Emperor himself might be heard to say, "C'est la vie...C'est la guerre!"
...Even in the wonderful world of toy soldiers.

Best wishes and happy collecting from the Cathay Pacific Lounge at LAX,
Andy.

Just curious -- would you ever consider producing Peninsular War figures?

He did with his first set of British Infantry, Highland Light Infantry,

and the French infantry were pre 1812 uniforms, so that's a start !!!
