I'm not so sure about this, and I don't like to advertise another site unless Shannon is out but here goes:

Any comments/observations? My own initial one would be that perhaps Britains's Science series and countless similar themed sets from other manufacturers have shown that there's a non-war collector out there to be reached but that the war collectors can still add their particular figure of interest to their own dioramas.

Jon and Wendy Schaffer of Spirit of 76 commissioned this set from K&C, so they are the only dealers who carry it. I am not sure if it was first offered at the 2004 Chicago Show, but that is where I purchased it. I asked Jon if there was going to be further sets, but he was not sure given Andy's busy schedule. The subjects of the 4 figure set were chosen by the Schaffers. It is comprised of George Washington, Stonewall Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt and Benjamin Franklin -- nice sculpting and painting that is compatible to K&C's present standard.:)

That clears some things up: the 2004 reference, the promise in the accompanying literature that Series II would be available in spring 2005, and so forth. I was under the impression from looking at the restructured website that this was a relaunch of the series, when in fact it'd appear to be the continued sale of what's already on hand. (I do like the look of the new website though). The Benjamin Franklin figure looks like he came as an adaptation from the World of Dickens series though but apart from that they look pretty good.

I also purchased the set at the 04 OTSN.
I have asked several times about future sets and sort of got the runaround.
I like the set, but the only reason I bought it was that there were to be more sets. I now think that unlikly.
