Didn't know this existed but picked one up today! Limited to (48) would be awesome if the Tramcar number is the production number (just because!)

That's so cool! ^&cool a very nice addition indeed.

Jeff

Never seen that before. That is a very nice piece, a centerpiece of an HK collection. Congratulations.^&cool -- Al

That's not even listed on Sager's. Maybe a dealer's special. Nice pickup.

I'm thinking recently because the latest number used is SOHK 227, according to Sager's.

Seeing as Andy has said he collects metalshed and the like, maybe it was a team effort.....

Guys,
I have it on good authority that the first 48 of HK226 The Hong Kong Tramcar sold out very quickly and a new batch is being produced. I have already place my pre-order with K&C in HK to have this as a centre piece in my K&C Museum. Get in quick as this is an outstanding piece which all SOHK collectors should consider a "must have".
Cheers Howard

Howard, Did you confirm if they were all metal?

Whoever has the $500 bid on the one listed on Ebay is going to have buyers remorse after 2nd batch comes out.

No seller's remorse, that's for sure. He sold one for $500 to I wonder who :wink2: and has the other one going. Ahh, it's only money ^&grin

Has this tram been advertised in K&C's website. Could not locate it now even in the retired items page. Can anyone there advise the original price of this item please?? Any news of the 2nd batch?? Thanks.

I emailed to try to order one and k&c emailed back that they will hold one IF they make more. Not sure what the deal is. Are we sure their making more?

Based on what Howard said earlier in this thread, yes.

Original price was $102 which hardly seems of any substance towards profitable returns (48 X 102 =$4896) $50 dollar figures and $100 Tramcars is just strange! How these pieces sneak themselves out and how Howard of all people missed out is also strange...but that would be considered a fair market with a fairly priced piece?

It would appear the first batch was only intended for the HK market but with a second batch planned.

It is made of tin (think the previous Chinese gate).

At $102 it will be good value and I have ordered some. Enquire with your dealer if interested as I guess further info will be coming. No idea of the numbers in second batch but looks like the interest could be good.

i am confused how everyone is ordering these, but they tell me they aren't being made????
I don't think K&C likes me :wink2:
