Hi all you Froggers,
as every year I came over to London for some days.
But when I was searching for our beloved K&C items in some famous stores, I was very dissapointed this time:
Hamleys has not a single item left :(- only one Britains vitrine I could find.

MKL models had only a poor K&C collection left and it seemed for me, that they are planning to give up their shop in the next time.
Any information for these shops please ?
Why do they show no more K&C or at least much less than in the last years?
Many thanks for your comments.
best regards from Germany

Hi Hadrian

We supply all UK shops and it unfortuantly comes down to economics. Hamleys want K&C but dont pay their bills or if they do they aree 90days late so we have stopped supplying them.

Shops still stocking K&C in London are:-

Tradition as mentioned (however have a large selection of other models)

Guards Museum.........i was with Lynn Kenwood on Sunday and i can assure they are (whole family) have no intention of giving up the shop. Maybe need to let the older staff retire and get some young blood in.

Bird Cage walk these guys are getting a good level of stock now and have a good display.

Hi Guys,

Just to back up Tony N… about how to find K&C in London. As Tony says Hamley’s is a nightmare… huge company, lots of staff but no one seems to know what they are doing PLUS they don’t like to pay!!!

TRADITION Great toy soldier store with a relatively small selection of K&C… usually WW2 as they obviously concentrate on selling their own production.

GUARDS MUSEUM (MKL) Huge selection of many makers (including K&C). I wish they would sell more but you can’t force ‘em. Very strong on traditional-style toy soldiers.

THE ARMORY, PICADILLY
Beautiful, stylish little shop selling all kinds of military antiques as well as K&C… Front Line… and some Russian stuff… Well worth a visit. Opposite Burlington Arcade.

There maybe more but that’s all I know.

Best wishes and good luck!

Andy C.

P.S. If you want to see the biggest and best collection of K&C take a train, car or plane and head up to Durham near Newcastle and personally visit Tony, Mike & The Gang at K&C UK. The warehouse and the “Museum” are outstanding!

Many thanks to all !
See you all hopefully on the next London December show with a lot of K&C items:D:D:D

The Guards museum shop has a very wide range of figures and vehicles, their Zulu and Waterloo layouts used to be something to see they were so big, I'm not sure they are still quite as impressive. Burlington arcade is also worth seeing, its quaint and I think been used in the filming of Poirot.
