Hello from Belgium.;)
I would like to know if somebody has got the temple and the minaret from the desert village. Why ? I have got the complete desert village but not the minaret because on the largest tower of the temple It's too high for my diorama (all the photos shows the minaret on the largest tower).
The description on the K & C's website says "can be positioned atop one of the towers". So if possible I would like to know if it's correct and to have a picture with the minaret on one of the small tower.

Thank you and best wishes...

I have the temple/mosque and it is a beautiful (must have) building. I don't have the minaret yet, but I believe I can answer your question. The description of the minaret on the K&C web site is a bit misleading. I was confused by their description myself...at first. I understand that the minaret comes in two sections. I measured the base of the towers on my temple/mosque. The big, bottom section of the minaret will fit only on the biggest, tallest tower. The other two shorter towers are far too narrow to accomodate the base of the bottom part of the minaret. The top piece of the minaret appears to be much smaller and that must be the part that will fit on either of the smaller towers. So...you will be able to configure the temple in various ways, with the two sections of the minaret. Pretty nice, actually. It would be nice if K&C would sell just the smaller top section of the minaret by itself, but it seems we must purchase both pieces together.

Thank you for your answer Bearybones. I know now that I can purchase the minaret to complete my diorama.
The desert village is very great...

The desert village is very great...

All those cold winter nights in Belgium- you can look at a desert village and dream of warmer places :) welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't say "very" great though it is certainly quite nice. I am still on the fence with this whole set. I am looking to spice it up for the war in Iraq and bring a modern flair to the buildings. There are some more affordable alternatives out there- Barszo namely (though the collector has to paint them). I know I won't be getting the wall sections or the mosque- my Iraq dio will be on a table so I don't want to see the temple on one side and the mosque on the other. I do think the minaret will work just fine though.

SP44 Temple / Mosque Minaret from my knowledge will only fit on top of the SP43 Desert Village Temple / Mosque.
The top of the SP43 Desert Village Temple / Mosque has a dome shaped top and joining that a square top that is where SP43 Desert Village Temple / Mosque will fit on top.
With all three pieces SP43, SP44 & SP46 forms the single largest piece of desert building if compaired to the desert village!

biker 3700,

I received my minaret. It comes in two pieces. The larger bottom piece will fit only on top of the larger tower. It can be used with or without the smaller top piece. The smaller top piece will NOT fit onto the smaller towers, or anywhere else on the mosque. The smaller top piece can only be fitted on top of the larger bottom part of the minaret. Other than that, it is useless. So...you would be able to use the bottom piece of the minaret by itself on your mosque, if that combination will be low enough for your diorama. Be aware that there is a rather large octagonal raised area in the center of the bottom part of the minaret, for the top piece to snugly fit onto, to hold the top piece in the proper position. This is visible when the bottom piece is placed onto the tower of the mosque, without the top piece placed over it. It makes it difficult to place figures in the bottom piece, and it looks a bit odd, when viewed from the top, in my opinion.

I should add that I really do like the way the Mosque looks with the Minaret attached. It's a great combination and a very colorful addition to any arabian diorama. I also plan to get the Desert Village Square in the very near future. Once I have the Village Square, I'll set it all up and post some pictures.
