How many of you guys collect the promotional materials that K&C comes out with each year ?

I try to - of course - keep a copy of all the Napoleonics. Anyone else ?

Also do you keep in them in a 3 ring binder or just a folder ?

I have all of mine in a folder - I want to get organized and have them a 3 ring binder - I do have a collection of all the COLLECTOR MAGAZINES that have come out and I DO have those in a 3 ring binder. Although I need to update it

You are not alone Ron!:)Yep i keep them all in a ring binder.I have so many now its a collection in its own right really,i have to have a seperate ring binder just for them apart from the two i use for print off pics..I also collect the glossy A4 adverts on the back of the Toy Soldier collector magazine, laminate them and add them to the collection.Apart from the ones i get sent i also pick some up from the Londons shows, these are good as multiples and get put amongst my print offs. They are all very good for browsing when deciding what to buy next, for me they are a very enjoyable part of the K&C experience.:)

Ive not been collecting K&C for anywhere near as long as you guys, But I too keep all the collectors & Product sheets.

I just keep them in my plastic storage tubs, with the soldier boxes.

Anyone else feel like they are playing tetrus when trying to store there boxes.

I have three binders for everything. I also have complete checklists in binders to keep track as I can not display everything.

I can't say that I 'collect" them, but I do save a number of the WW2 flyers for inspiration. Looking at the scenes that Gordon, Andy and the others at K&C create have inspired several scenes that I want to do when I get space, so I save the flyers that "inspire" me.

Although I've only been collecting since 2004, I have many of the old brochures going back to the 1980s, many that I've gotten through friends or occasionally ebay. What I don't have in originals, I've printed out from Bill Sager's site. I do keep them in plastic sheets put into three ring binders (up to two right now). They're great reference material. I believe Louis has more of these than anyone else and much of the early stuff that is on Bill's site came from Louis.

I also keep them.

Love the dioramas and the texts

I agree that all the promotional material that accompanies K&C merchandise is a big part of the enjoyment of the whole hobby experience. I love the historical commentaries especially when its about obscure vehicles, places, soldiers, their equipment, strategy etc. I keep all my inserts, magazines in a safe place. My largest library is all that I have stored online from all the copies of these various materials (new and old).

I have a "redwell" (legal file folder) with almost every flyer K&C has ever produced from 1984 to the present, including the very first black and white advertisements from military modeling magazine from June and July, 1984, and the first color flyer from summer, 1984 and the second flyer from winter 1984 announcing the imminent opening of K&C's original shop in Hong Kong in June, 1985. I started collecting K&C in 1993, and my pre-1990 flyers came to me either in early purchases from some of the original dealers like Kings X, Bruntons Barracks and the Toy Soldier allery, or as gifts from generous collectors such as Dennis DeRusha Ed Poole and Norman Joplin. Due to Andy's advertising background, and Andy and Gordon's skills as diorama builders, these flyers are themselves works of art. If the book ever comes to fruition, with Andy's permission, I hope it includes copies of these wonderful flyers.

I was lucky enough to be in the room across the hall from Andy's rooms at OTSN dating back to 1997, so I was able to get many of the older flyers as a result as he was nice enough to give them to me even though I was not a dealer or a collector, I thought those brochures were terrific and very well done.

Funny how every year at OTSN he'd come across the hall to say hello and view my painted terrain and ask me when I'd like to become a K & C dealer; ;luckily for me I finally smartened up and said yes in 2000, it's been one heck of a ride ever since.

I was also lucky enough to get very nice color copies of many of the older brochures prior to 1997 from John Gambale, he's got just about every brochure K & C has ever done, so thanks John (and thank you too Andy)......

I collect all brochures from any maker. It's piled high in a mess on my nightstand. I check them out every night or a toy soldier magazine before I go to sleep. I look at these more than my toy soldiers.

I use a acetate sleeve, drop in the flyer or whatever printed material fits the scene, and stick it up on the side walls of my bookshelf sized displays (around 12 x 28 inches).

So I have "Enemy at the Gates" displayed with my Romans, or the inserted card that came with Rommel's Horch for my AK display, etc.

Anything printed by K&C is as valuable and fun to me as the toy soldiers themselves.
