King&Country Russian Tank Choice (1 Viewer)

Would go for any version of the T-34/76, T-34/85, KV-1 and KV-2, SU-152/ISU-152 or 122 SU-76. The 250 series would allow more variety of the same tank.

I would buy any Russian tank in winter scheme.

K&C should start with the "basics" first. T34/85 in standard green, them maybe a JS-2

I could go for this !00%.

Being that you are new, you may not know that at least one person repainted the older K&C German T-34 back to Russian colors. If you go to the Gallery on the main Treefrog page, then to Alex Prieto's folder, it's on page 2. It's a hex turret.

WOW ,That is some nice work Alex did on that T-34. Thats the T-34 i am
hoping K&C will remake with a Russian crew. :p

KC has never done a T34/76 in the new sculpting style. This is the most famous and most recognizable Russian tank. It would be unwise of Andy to not start with this tank, but I think he knows that.

All this T-34 talk has finally motivated me to sort out all of the major pre-hex (aka large hatch) turret modifications. There are basically two types, welded (my favorite) and cast being produced at the Kharkov factory (plant 183). After the invasion Kharkov went to Siberia, & the Stalingrad (STZ) factory came online & introduced a change to the rear of the welded turret...it became completely flat...no rounded curves. Then in late Spring/42, STZ changed the front of the welded turret...it sliced off some lower front turret at 2 & 10 o'clock (think Panzer IV) to create some flat angled surfaces. In Summer42, STZ started making basic cast turrets & then two different styles of chisel gun mantlets began getting installed into both welded & cast. Then shortly later, the same front cutting that had been done to the welded was done to the cast.

Despite it's long railroad journey, the relocated Kharkov plant churned out >2x the number of Stalingrad for 1942 in the basic early Kharkov style and with the newer hex turrets. Other newer plants in 42 included Gorky, Chelyabinsk, Omsk & Sverdlovsk, of which the previous two were biggies like Kharkov, and also made the Kharkov styles.

The number of smaller modifications are too numerous to list
