Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that K&C and a team of us from HQHK are travelling to TEXAS to take part in our very first ROUND TOP ANTIQUES FAIR.
This is a 6-day event that has 3 shows a year – Spring, Fall and Winter and has been running for over 50 highly successful years and annually attracts more than 100,000 visitors spread over the three events.
Now, what takes K&C to an ‘Antiques Fair’…? Well, they also sell ‘collectibles’ and most importantly, many if not the majority of the folks who attend these events enjoy and appreciate ‘HISTORY’ in all its many forms… which just might include ‘TOY SOLDIERS’!
Another important reason is that in this great little hobby of ours we have to reach out to more people who might never have seen a toy soldier in their lives.
Operating two King & Country toy soldier retail stores in Hong Kong and San Antonio I have been told on numerous occasions by first time visitors, “I’ve never seen anything like these little figures before… I didn’t even know they existed!”
As bricks ’n’ mortar toy stores in general and toy soldier shops in particular are getting to be as rare as hen’s teeth. It’s not easy for anyone, apart from dedicated collectors, to find and actually see toy soldiers in the flesh. Even London only has one (The Armory of St. James).
So, the ‘ROUND TOP ANTIQUES FAIR’ is a unique opportunity to display and sell a choice selection of King & Country latest figures and fighting vehicles to a whole lot of new people over 6 whole days.
This ‘FALL SHOW’ will run from Monday 14 October until Saturday 19 October and I will be joined by Tammi and Kristy from Hong Kong Head Office and my fellow K&C cofounder Laura McAllister Johnson to welcome any and all visitors to this very special event at our BOOTH #333 in The BIG RED BARN at ROUND TOP.
All the very best and, if you live in Texas or would like to take a little trip, we will make sure you have a warm welcome and… a close look at more than a few authentic, hand-made pieces of history!
CHEERS,
Andy
