Anybody experiencing anything odd besides me with Live Bid?

I had bid on an item several days ago, and today I was hit with 7 or 8

messages telling me I had been outbid and the new bid was 10 GBP,

15 GBP, 20 GBP and so forth. When I went on the site the item I was

bidding on was gone.......very strange.

I think the auctions for the latest round ended today and when they do, they disappear from the system. They will notify you if you've won. I find you have to remember what you bid. When somebody bids against you, it tells you you've been outbid and so forth. Even the first time you place a bid, it tells you you've been outbid when in reality you haven't.

I've never been hit with so many messages, a bet they had a little problem.

That could be but if some one makes a bid, you get a message so that may be it also.

I had received those messages when I placed the inital bid. Today it

seemed to go back to 0. The first message said I had been outbid and the

new price was 0 GBP.

Who knows?

No bid deal, I think I can make do with current inventory!

That is definitely peculiar. You may be right, there may be a problem with the system.

Njja, your friends at eBay are even slower. I have received 'you have been outbid' advices a day or so after it's all over and I think - gee thanks for the headsup guys

We had a gremlin hit at the last minute on our LIVEBID system. Some areas got reset.................we are looking at the system to find out what happened and also who won!!

John the messages you got were a mixture of the real correct ones and our server also getting confused. There was a manual error put in by another bidder which caused issues with 3 or so items.

We will be notifying all those that won by e-mail in next few days when we have cleared the mess up

Was it the Krupp Truck set??? I was going to bid for that but I decided to go for something else!!!

I was looking at the bids for the 16857th time yesterday and I noticed the no. of bids for the Krupp Truck was 4!!!! It was weird because earlier on there had been something like 10!!!!

Tony said it was a GREMLIN!!! I disagree I think the toy soldiers being auctioned off jumped on the computer last night while everyone was in bed and cancelled out all the bids!!!! Just because they wanted to stay with their brothers and sisters at KaC UK!!!

I think I might have won WS30!!!! Looking forward to finding out!!!!
