This is the question we will all ask ourselves. What a great tank and a fine looking paint job. This is the first tank I have seen from K&C that has that wow affect. The weathering on it looks all the goods and the camouflaged paint job is one of the best I have seen. But it doesn't come cheap.Big dollars for a big tank.If I buy one it will be the most expensive thing I have bought from K&C up to now.I am wonderling who won't be able to buy one and will they regret it later.Simmo.

Good question.I must confess i had to think about this.I also talked about it with James (Easy)and i think he pretty much felt the same way.Thing is this, when i saw i would be paying £194 for this i thought ouch!.If you are like me and having been collecting K&C Tanks for some years now, a price like that really stings. But when it comes down to it i simply have to have it.Its such a quality model of a really famous AFV that there really was no question,i have to have it.I'll probably pick it up in London in December and the price will probably mean i'll buy less other stuff. But its quite possibly the best Tank K&C have so far released and its a must have.

Prices are going up for everything all over the world,so theres no reason why i think my little hobby should not be affected i guess.

Your right Rob I think it is the best to date they have made.I only have four tanks so far as I didn't like the tracks when I first started collecting. But now K&C have improved them over all and I am starting to pick up the odd tank.I could be looking at around $260 plus oz dollars give or take for one.So its a lot of money to think about but its really really tempting.Simmo.

Its a sweet looking tank but at aprox $340 $Nz its a tough call
although I can squeeze it in to the hobby budget its at a price level where
it will be the exception rather than the rule.
I guess it is part of what collecting is about , if it pushes the right
buttons for you other items get put to one side.

It's a must have for me too. I am ok with this for the occasional "special" item (maybe once a year), but my concern is that prices in general are headed upwards. I think most K&C collectors would be extremely reluctant about the idea of tanks regularly going for anywhere in the neighborhood of $200. So, my question become "is this a special tank, or is this where K&C pricing is headed?"

If this is indicative of a trend, I will have to pass.

That is one beautiful tank. I thought the Tunisian Tiger would be the last splurge I would make on any expensive vehicle. However, I think I'm going to buy it. As prices rise, I contemplate quiting, but the products keep getting better and better and harder to resist.

This one will work as the winter version! I doubt you will see a white-washed version.

i'm getting this one, but am anticipating a whitewash repaint version.

it's too nice not too have a repaint.:)

The issue price is not that bad considering what the Gold Edition Tigers were going for without crew! Everyone knows this tank will sell out as well. This has to be the best tank that K&C has ever produced!! The Figarti Mk IV was $199 and hell the side skirts crumbled like paper in my hands!! I passed on the mounted 88 gun on the halftrack but the KT is a must!!!

i hope if K&C do a King Tiger repaint, i hope they will consider changing the crew, the unit number and damages, so i can have 2 King Tigers back rumbling in the Ardennes diorama. And to top it, hopefully K&C will release it with Falschirmjager tank riders.

that will be so sweet a diorama.;)

Yeah K&C usually does the reissue with different numbers and different figure or two.
I hope they wait a lttle bit I would like to coll down my credit card a little and I'm getting tired of a p-butter and crackers diet!
O.C.:p

Long live Battle of the bulge releases!

I can see why people are really starting to sell there king tigers on ebay.

Has anyone done a side by side comparison of the AK Tiger to the WS King Tigers (WS67 & WS71) ??

That would be interesting to see - maybe give all of us an idea of what the new King Tigers will look like and how big to the others?

My Tunisan is a lot bigger than my Witman

I agree. I thought the Tunisian Tiger was a SL release so I understood the price. The new 88 was not and was even more? But now a new KT that is awesome but expensive as well. I do not know how many more items I can keep buying at these higher prices. The product is better but the price will eventually drive people away. I started collecting roughly 2 years ago and have now seen huge increases in prices:(:(:(:(. I am hoping for a point in the future when the prices will stabilize or I am down to a few vehicles a year. Or maybe out for good....

This reminds me of the 70s, when the cost of a comic book kept up with my allowance. Inflation stinks, but then you simply have to make decisions.

For me this was a no-brainer. I have both of the original KTs from the 2005 Battle of Berlin series. They're great. I considered some of the other Bulge armor, but ultimately sat back and held off. I told myself that I would wait for a late war panther or tiger in the ambush camo scheme. I was sure it would happen eventually. Three years later, it did!

So be patient and wait for the priority pieces on your wish list. I really like the latest Sherman, and thought I might pick it up early next year, but the cost of the Tiger means I'll probably miss it. So it goes.
