Periodically I see KingsX figures selling on ebay and bringing in $200-$275 each. I called over to KingsX a few weeks ago and inquired about them. They told me if I spend $600 with KingsX I get one of my choice for free. So Im thinking they don't have the lower numbered figures like 001? The woman said they have them just spend the money and pick which ever one you want! If my math serves me right this is more than a 30% discount on new items if you sell the free figure you aquired on Ebay??? Am I missing something here? Some of you may be reading this and my previous thread saying hmmmmm he is interested in the LAH097 priced at $599 and now he is mentioning the $600 deal with kingsX...YEs ThaT is Where Im going wiTh ThiS! I would like to add that I must be missing something here A) I don't see LAH097 on the KINGSX Site...and B) It sounds to good to be true!

That assumes you could sell that figure for that amount, which I doubt. I don't think a John Wayne figure has gone over 100. I just think this is a way for K & C, which owns Kings X, to attract customers.

Brad I have already found two John waynes that sold recently for $250 plus and KX002 and 003 that sold for $275 plus...I also remember about 2 months ago more of these selling for close to these $$$ figures. I just don't think people relize that they are still available and not as "rare" as they are advertised at....though one of the other ways you can get one is to spend $600 with KingsX

Did you ask if they had the LAH band in stock when you spoke to the woman at the store?

There have been a few members of the forum that have acquired these figures by spending $600 with Kings X. You don't have to spend it all in one shot, they will keep a tally of what you buy and then when you hit $600 you get the figure.

If someone gets a free figure and then wants to sell it that is up to them. It could be just me but I am really missing the point of your post

Well I just called again and they do have the LAH in stock and the actual dollar amount is $480 not $600...and yes they have KX001 John Wayne in stock which you receive for free. My point was that you can sell the KX figure for 2 bones plus and acheive a large discount after selling the figure...so actually if you need something for say $500 and order from Kings X they will give you a figure you can sell for about half the total price you spent which equates to a 50% discount in the end.

So I just called Joan at KingsX and what a pleasure doing business with her...she is a great example of how a person answering a phone and taking orders should be. I vote for Joan for saleswoman of the year!...I ordered my LAH097 (21 piece marching band) and she is sending me my free KX001 John Wayne Figure.

Well, I guess I stand corrected. Of course, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a single figure.

I think the point of the post is that if you spend a certain sum of money and get a free figure, you can then sell the free figure and get to what amounts a discounted set. I'm not sure that's what K & C had in mind; they were probably thinking of using the free figure to attract sales for Kings X.

With respect to looking at that way, that's not the way I'd view it but to each his own I suppose.

Its a good idea as a reward to your loyalty to king & country, id love a john wayne model but i would not sell him. k&c uk have a similar set up, if you spend over £200 in a year you get a voucher for the shop. Would be nice if you got a john wayne model though :D
