I wanted to let you all know that I am visiting Houston for a couple of days for a meeting and drove over to San Antonio to visit the KingsX store. I had a nice day visiting Joan at the store. I have taken several photos of the store and the Alamo itself so you all can see what it looks like. Sorry for the shadowing on some of the pictures but shooting through glass with very bright lights does not make the ideal photographs.

I have posted them on my website under the King and Country section with the heading KingsX.

I hope you enjoy them. I know I had a good time seeing the dioramas on display especially the large Alamo layout. Andy and Gordon were not there. I believe they are in Hong Kong preparing for the trips that lay ahead to the West Coaster and the Symposium. I am looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks Bill for the great pictures. I have some new ideas on how to display some of my soldiers now.

Great shots Bill! Did you notice the old wood and papier mache Hong Kong village gate and the corner wall piece from the Chinese Garden in the shots with the Chinese wedding procession? One of the hanging planes also seemed to have its gear down, so could have been an old K&C warbird as well.

Loved the little diorama with the D-Day paratroopers riding horses and showing of their tropies, as well as the full Alamo compound. Gordon just keeps getting better and better.

Joan Smith of Kings X sold me my first ever piece of K&C, the mounted glossy Teddy Roosevelt with 2 marching dismounted Rought Riders.

Louis,
It did appear to me like an original warbird but in a little rough shape. There were several other planes also hanging but not K&C warbirds.

In the Wedding procession also were a coupl of old Silk Road sets with original prices. I tried to snap them up but was unable. Joan is keenly aware of the value:) The sets were SR003 and SR004. The paper macie buildings were very nice.

I also did a double take when I saw that papier mache Village Gate.

Cheers Uncle Bill:

Thank you for sharing the great picture collage from San Antonio. I enjoyed them very much as is the case with your comprehensive web site!
