Horrible news if it is true that he has passed away in a helicopter crash. One day after LeBron passed him as the third top NBA scorer.

Confirmed, one of my all time favorite players, truly a tragedy. Sounds like there was heavy fog and the Helicopter he was in crashed, killing all 5 onboard. Truly a shame, he was one of the greats and for the most part a good person. He had an issue where he was wrongly accused and I believe that incident "re-grounded" him for the better. End of the day, he was a role model taken way too early. This was to be his Hall of Fame year. Just sucks, no real other way to put it.

Yup, just got even more sad, on their way to basketball practice. What a terrible tragedy.

We lost a good man and his daughter along with 7 other good souls.
Very sad. May their families all find peace and consolation in their memories.
