Fabulous. Great set with good figures well placed. Believable. Well done!

Emilio you will now have to offer the gate shown in your excellent photo. When will it be released and what will be the price? All Roman collectors want to know!

Pretty sure that is a photo of the Lunt with Emillios figures photo shopped on it. Not an actual piece for sale.

Lunt Roman Fort. I believe they think the original was an Auxiliary Cavalry Fort.

Here's a link to photos of it on google.

Hopefully some time this year JJD will start releasing their wooden Roman Fort that John used Lunt as a bas for his inspiration. Photos have been put up on TF under London Shows.

yes , as all the photos ia have posted in the last weeks , the fort is an original pic, photoshopped, but our idea is make this buildings , the roman fort of Lunt, the stone roman fortification , the Maubeuge gate of Mons in 1918 , and the cavalry forts during this year .

Del Prado's Marcus Aurelius satisfied the Kronprinz omens are good !:)
Is Aurelius one of your sculpts too Emilio ?

Sarcasm Sahara! The photoshops are obvious; but I would like to see the gate made along with some wall sections to build a fort. No one except Zvezda in 1/72 has released a Roman wood fort, to my knowledge. I think it would be a good product for Kronprinz.

Yes Steve . but as it is logical, the massive production did not juticia to the original work. In addition, the directors of Elprado made me continuously change the sizes. At the beginning, when they hired me, they wanted 54mm figures, but later they wanted them bigger, always bigger, and (irony), that they would weigh little, especially in the cavalry ones. They wanted big riders, with big heads, and small horses, so that the weight was what they needed. The Chinese manufacturers modified the horses and in the end I am aware that I modeled many figures of cavalry, but I am not sure what kind of animal they used as a horse.

Must be very frustrating for you Emilio when you have commissions like that !

Look forward to seeing what you produce during the year.

Forgot to say, you done a very good job on Marcus Aurelius as it is quite a good likeness to his busts. :salute::

Emilio; some Del Prado figures are excellent. The Marcomannic Leader, Dacian King, Tervengi and Saxon are very close to the Osprey illustrations. Did you scupt any of these? I note that the Celts in your current line are identical to the Del Prado figures.

yes , all the figures you have mentioned are mine.the problem is that some, for the reason that I have explained before, are of different sizes, or larger, or smaller than 60 mm.

Excellent work Emilio. The figures I have are 63-64mm tall, top of base to top of head. They go very well with the K&C Barbarians. The Alemannic Cavalryman by Del Prado seems to have a correct size horse. Why did not Del Prado use plastic instead of pewter if they wanted reduced weight?

I already commented to them the possibility of using plastic or resin for horses if they wanted less weight, but they were very determined that they were made of metal.
Little I will recover recovering the old models, improving them, especially the horses, and completing with more poses, fundamentally in the series of Rome and the classic time. For the western I prefer that they be new figures. I would also like to recover all the ideas from the collection I made for delprado on life in ancient Egypt, but these would have to be modeled again, since this collection was made on a smaller scale, and would not combine with those of K & C.

Funny you should mention the Egyptian range as I have a few myself and as well as keeping some as Egyptians, I have done some small conversions to a few adding hair and turning kilts into tunics and whilst they are smaller they do make for pretty believable young children !

Bought some before, but bases are so small they fall over, you need larger bases, to balance the figures and give it more of an impressive look

This certainly is a Major problem with KP figures.
I have over two hundred Napoleonic troops from them and I find this when trying to set them into formation on anything other than 100% flat and even surface they topple over far too easily.
This is especially true of Drummers and Standard Bearers.
They did a survey of their then customers a few years ago on this and alas, most wanted them to continue as they were, as the alternative then offered, was a taller / thicker base which obviously would of made them taller than other manufacturers figures.

Since then I'm afraid that KP have missed the boat on some important opportunities, that they could of set the standard on.
That would have set them on a firm customer base, now being taken up, with advantage by other manufacturers who have seen this niche and are going for it. KP's loss will be TG's gain !
