This certainly is a Major problem with KP figures.
I have over two hundred Napoleonic troops from them and I find this when trying to set them into formation on anything other than 100% flat and even surface they topple over far too easily.
This is especially true of Drummers and Standard Bearers.
They did a survey of their then customers a few years ago on this and alas, most wanted them to continue as they were, as the alternative then offered, was a taller / thicker base which obviously would of made them taller than other manufacturers figures.

Since then I'm afraid that KP have missed the boat on some important opportunities, that they could of set the standard on.
That would have set them on a firm customer base, now being taken up, with advantage by other manufacturers who have seen this niche and are going for it. KP's loss will be TG's gain !

I met Emilio this summer. I was very impressed with his talent, creativity, and love for making toy soldiers. I would be very surprised if he does not respond to your concerns. Since he is constantly busy, you might try and send him an email.

Hi Steve, I agree with you. in fact, from now on, all the bases, although of the same thickness, will become wider, giving them greater stability. we have also improved the alloy and we are trying to improve our productivity, so that the news can be presented more regularly

Excellent should really help with the Drummers and Flag bearers, which is not an issue solely with KP figures other makers have problems also with Flag bearers and some other figures.

I have said this to them over the years, the bases are too small, and figures topple over and do not add that grass they do, looks cheap, stopped buying a while ago, not until they fix this with all there ranges

All the bases of all the figures in the catalog have been for more than a year, almost two, larger and rectangular, the ones seen in the photo are the small ones. We have not changed the photos in our catalog of the figures that began to be marketed with the small bases, but as we manufacture our figures according to request, all the figures that we have sold, as I have already said for almost two years, have been with the new ones. bases. Thanks for your interest
