Well all, as I'm new to this, I thought I'd just post my favorites. I've painted loads of 28mm French Napoleonics over the years but to see them in larger scale ---and already painted---well; it's just mind blowing. It's also easier to photograph; and I'm an instant convert to the black-line definition painting

These are a mixture of K&C, FL, IMEX, HISTOREX, cork floor tiles, economical backdrop (thankyou Brett) and assorted flocking - and I'm learning about digital image enhancements....what a super hobby this has become

Guy, I have no clue at all what ''LA BELLE FILS'' means but I'm totally intrigued what my fellow Australian tells a Belgian is it's meaning....:wink2:^&grin

"La Belle Fils" translates to "beautiful Son" in my translator....

I thought that the French Napoleonic Artillery were 'Bonaparte's Beautiful Daughters', but who cares about the translation ... they look great in the images you posted Fitz

John thanks mate, it's true when they say you learn something new everyday, and I guess only Bonaparte would call artillery 'Beautiful Son'.

I am French speaking; it should be: Le beau fils ( The beautiful son or son in law) or La Belle Fille( The beautiful daughter or daughter in law)
that's why I was confused.

Gawd blimey guys - it's just the Aussie accent. I had a lot of fun with it in France last year - mostly at the various Patisseries I visited alone early each morning - the rest of the time, my minders were careful about my lingo and their country folk. Yes it was Napoleon's daughters...but why the gender specifics, I'm sure I don't know. I just love Napoleonic artillery and the uniforms of the French are a painter's delight...

The "bloke with anvil" is from John Jenkins Designs.

{sm4} Old modellers die hard - it's a commercial plastic kit of1/35 scale painted with Vallejo acrylics and washes - accessories are key to modelling; I've been rummaging around the long disused leftovers in the garage. The thread of the idea for this little dio is to develop a larger dio of the French on the Isle of Lobeau during the Wagram campaign (so I'm collecting artillery uniforms which will double as engineers with some conversion of postures).
